I'm still trying to find any kind of footage of my one public access appearance (when I was 15 or 16 a friend of our drummer's parents had my band be her backup musicians for the public access halloween special that was going to rocket her to children's music superstardom; we dressed up as badly as possible and played Minor Thread songs on banjo, flute and accordion). I still have the accompanying cassingle of calypso songs about her cats she paid to take us into a studio to record, though, but I don't think it's anything worth uploading. |

I missed it, but when I was in college some friends of mine turned on public access and saw two identical twin brothers who graduated from our high school a few years before we did chasing each other around a shoddy talk show set completely naked. |

Except of course that most of the English speaking world is so confused about sexuality that it's even easier to exploit someone who performs in porn than it used to be to exploit, say, a poor black guy with a really good voice 50 years ago.
I guess what I'm saying is all show business is full of vicious and exploitative elements and can ruin your life if you aren't careful but in the case of porn, those problems are made even worse because the rest of society has such a weird relationship with it. |

Alan Smithee (in the extended TV version of the movie, which I prefer) was telling a story that resembled what Frank Herbert wrote. The Lynch-approved cut is like someone chose one page from each chapter at random and filmed them in order without any kind of continuity.

Actually, no, Deathbots is worse. I think the only thing I own that's worse than Deathbots is the Atari 2600 G.I. Joe game, and that's mostly because I can't figure out how to start it. The title screen's pretty good for 2600. |

Someplace or other I saw a forum discussion from a couple years ago where someone convincingly argued that Kim Keister and the PoE forum drama that followed here was what killed PoE red.
I had the realization the other day that I'm well on my way to being the Internet atrocity tourism version of the old hippie who just can't accept that the summer of love ended. THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND (the late 90s and early 2000s). |
