I'm that way about the concept of home in general. I consider myself either housed or houseless, but I don't feel like anywhere is a home. So at times in my life when I lived with neat people, I was a neat housekeeper. Slob beget slob, and living alone I oscillate depending on what else is happening in my life (within reason, I don't sleep in food, but bookshelf is anything gravity can't overcome). I can feel safe in a place, but that's about as far as it goes. I'm not big on decorating and I generally hate owning furniture. |

CG is all cartooning and all terrible if you're not making a cartoon. Good CG is only good compared to the shit that came before it. The best practical effects look real, the best CG looks like slightly less shit CG than what came before. Whole decades of movies will be utterly unwatchable in the future because of the glaring low quality of the computer effects.
The CG in LOTR sucked out loud. All of it. Every fucking frame.
Being a fanboy of a blatantly, and systemically, inferior way to make a movie because technology *fap* is beyond unreasonable. |

I read the description and then saw it was an anime and thought SolRo was trolling. While there are some gross technical problems in the science (present day next gen inflatable capsules will make explosive decompression unheard of from small punctures and that shuttle had plenty of time to move if you had time to make a hero speech). While it was nice to hear the familiar four doing voices again, it's still an anime, so at best it's about the characters and never the plot. The characters seem kind of stock. |

Even as a kid the talking animal aspect of the cartoon made me feel embarrassed. It was the first time that talking animals had been presented in a way to my child mind that it recognized as shoe-horned in for ominous reasons unrelatable to the plot. |
