Mike Rowe Speaks to Congress
05/12/11, 21:58 Opinions are like assholes, you know. |

Mike Rowe Speaks to Congress
05/12/11, 17:46 Graphic designer with a meager 1 yr community college certificate (which no one as ever asked to see). I too am pushing 30.
My main beef with CS type edu is that there are so many lazy people looking for a easy payday and schools pump out these CS grads like popcorn. The result is a saturated and polluted industry full of incompetent boobs who can never make it past their probation. Ive seen it play out time and time again.
Ironically its the "uneducated" programmers, designers etc. that are actually worth anything because surprise, surprise, they have to WORK for it.

Mike Rowe Speaks to Congress
05/12/11, 15:17 It takes skill and experience to be an employable plumber. That's why it is called "skilled labor" and not just "labor". Any crackhead can dig ditches.
School has many advantages, but don't start crying when you spend tens of thousands of dollars on an education that has limited real-world applications. It doesn't matter how bad the economy gets, people will still need their lights and toilets to work. |

Mike Rowe Speaks to Congress
05/12/11, 15:00 No I am very lazy actually. Ive had a desk job myself for the past 8 years. I work at home and only for about 4 hours a day and I dont even get dressed. Its a decent living, but very lazy.
You must be one of those Liberal artfags I assume? Sorry for offending you.

Mike Rowe Speaks to Congress
05/12/11, 13:04 He speaks truth. Everyone is lazy these days... all clamoring for a limited number of cozy desk jobs where their actual job amounts to contributing shit-all to every day life. Everyone is in school trying to earn useless philosophy / liberal art degrees or dime-a-dozen computer science degrees. And for those who are not in school, there are only so many Walmart and Mcdonald positions to fill.
There is a whole generation of people who find themselves all grown up with absolutely no marketable job skills. But that is Bush / Obamas fault of course. |

Insane Clown Posse - the board game!
05/09/11, 13:31 ICP has the biggest line of shit merchandise than any other "band" in history. Once unwillingly subjugated to the ICP movie, I noticed the first 30 mins was non stop shilling of endless ICP products. ICP SHOES, WALLETS, HOODIES AND MORE! STICKERS, POT HOLDERS, WELCOME MATS! GET YOURS TODAY! BRACELETS, TRADING CARDS.....
At first I kind of chuckled, thinking it was some kind of Tim and Eric style bit (especially the ICP shoe commercial), but then the awkward and desolate reality set in when my offended host informed me that it was all actual crap you can buy. |

Russia Today - WHAR OSAMA BODY WHAR???
05/04/11, 13:14 Exactly. All the fans of Bin Laden are welcome to visit his corpse at the bottom of the ocean. Although I do wish they would have paraded his body around a little. Not for the conspiracy theorists, but for the sheer joy of it.
Plus this would have to be the worst planned conspiracy ever. Osama would just have to put out another video of himself giving the thumbs up. "Im still heeeeere!" |

TFL Bill on the Bin Laden Kill.
05/04/11, 13:03 I never watch the news or read newspapers. I get all of my current affairs from people who make videos from their cars. |

911 call of kid set on fire by bullies
05/04/11, 12:55 No visible marks on his face you mean. I also like how he credits prayer for his slow, painful recovery. I wonder if prayer caused him to be lit on fire in the first place. |

911 call of kid set on fire by bullies
05/04/11, 12:52 Yikes. It must be taxing being a 911 phone dispatcher sometimes. One can only imagine the horror and chaos going on but having to calm and communicate with hysterical people must take tons of patience. |
