He really does have a great sense of melody, which is weird to recognize when you are listening to a track like this.

So the Harry Knowles guy won a fan-club competition to appear onstage with the band, right?

By "rotten on the inside," he means "liberal."
Memories from Times Square in the 70s
07/08/07, 14:54

To be fair, when I was 18 I was in a group of six people who got mugged by a group of ten people (this was about a block south of the Port Authority at 4:30 in the morning, and we were pretty obviously new-to-town)...but the new Disneyfied Times Square isn't really any safer -- it's just got a block of chain restaurants in place of a block of porn theaters. Any tourist dumb enough to end up drunk on 37th Street at 2 a.m. is still likely to get rolled, and deservedly so.

Giuliani's 'move the porn to the outer boroughs' policy hasn't gotten rid of the industry, it's just made it more dangerous for the workers. And in the process it got rid of several grindhouse theaters that played art films too out there for venues like the Angelika or Anthology Film Archives downtown. Hurray!

This, right here, is why we never got to see a real resolution to the promo in which Schultz called Hogan a San Francisco WUHMUN.

Like shooting fish in a barrel full of water with a single atom of acetominophen in it.

I looked through the Youtube account's other videos. Sadly, I wasn't able to find a TouchSensitive version of "Me and a Gun."

Ah, but the whole POINT is that she just doesn't give a DAMN about where she stands in your eyes.
LL Cool J-Rock the Bells

Love the song -- it's one of my all-time favorites, I rap the words in the shower sometimes. But I don't imagine that this is going to get many views after it leaves the front page...
Digable Planets- Nickel Bags

I recognize about 90% of the intersections in this video. There's a certain sound of hip hop (epitomized by this song) that always makes me think of the lighting on Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene around an hour before dusk in early October...

I like to think that every woman on Earth has a bit of Lady Miss Kier in her.
Digable Planets - Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)

I guess I just think that the only thing that could make this song more perfect would be if the first verse was a little little bit more structured - mainly because at the time that this came out, I was starting to get REALLY obsessed with the hyper-elaborate rhyme schemes of Rakim or even second-album Leaders of the New School.

Still, I have never ever ever heard this song and not closed my eyes, grinned ear to ear, and bobbed my head like a drinky bird in a tophat.

-1 star for a few blown rhymes that have always made me roll my eyes. + 10 for everything else about one of my favorite singles from the 90s.
Underworld - Cowgirl [Everything, Everything]

Every time I've seen Underworld, I've been sort of amazed at what a fantastic show they put on.
Siouxsie and the Banshees -Kiss Them For Me-

That would be a sample of "P.S.K. (What Does it Mean?)", wouldn't it?

And how is this a more obvious pop attempt than "Peek-a-Boo," which is also lovely?

also "Operation: SHUT THE FUCK UP."
