The Juggernaut vs. Fat Albert
06/19/07, 13:35

counterpoint: Juggernaut clearly states that he is UNSTOPPABLE, mainly due to his JUGGERNAUT PUNCH.

Part 2, please!!
SCTV - The Queen Haters
06/19/07, 12:07

Martin Short in makeup looked a lot like Marc Almond. Who knew?
The Juggernaut vs. Fat Albert
06/19/07, 11:56

-1 star for not showing Fat Albert's "win two rounds" screen, also for not having him call out the names of his moves repeatedly.

A Tribute to Reggie
06/19/07, 10:07

is there a link to it anywhere?
AJPW: Mitsuharu Misawa vs. Toshiaki Kawada, 6/3/94 (highlights)
06/18/07, 21:06

Yeah, I've done the same thing (you can also show them the insane pectoral ripple from 3:59). I've used the hairsplitting point that "predetermined" doesn't mean "fake."

Also, Frank Rizzo: this had MUCH better music than any of the other highlight reels from this match on Youtube.
Chris Burden - TV Ad (1973)

I wish he'd made one using "Doorway to Heaven."
Dow Chemical Owns-Up To Bhopal
06/18/07, 11:36

The case isn't settled so long as Warren Anderson doesn't stand trial for manslaughter.

Godzilla 2000 - end scene
06/18/07, 11:13

When I was in pre-school, I not only believed Godzilla was real, I conflated him with God and (at least once) thanked him for our food at dinnertime.
Kaki King - Playing With Pink Noise
06/18/07, 10:48

Please submit that!
"Inframan" trailer (1975)
06/17/07, 19:20

Of COURSE he thought it was the best thing ever. Children's "awesome receptors" are still fully active in the brain. Unfortunately, as we age, we seem to lose much of our capacity for "HAHAHA AWESOME" reactions.

And many women have completely vestigial awesome receptors.
The Brady Bunch Variety Hour - opening
06/17/07, 14:28

So were they hoping that audiences would prefer a familiar fake family to, say, the Osmonds?
World of Wacraft kid scolded by parents on Ventrilo
06/17/07, 00:50

The last line had me and my wife fall over laughing.
Bill Bailey - New National Anthem
06/16/07, 13:59

Excellent, EXCELLENT pastiche. I just wish he sang with more of a "ripping off Shirley Bassie" delivery, so we knew it was second-album Portishead...
Boney M - Ma Baker
06/16/07, 12:04

Yeah, I really wish I'd had the money to see this show as well...maybe next time they're in town?
Fear Factory - Replica
06/16/07, 10:33

It was the big single off the album BECAUSE it was the least heavy song. Much as I'da liked to see "Body Hammer" or "New Breed" get mainstream radio play, it was nice to see ANY of their stuff getting airplay on commercial radio (I saw them a bunch in the mid-90s in smallish bar shows, and they were really great guys to me and my twelve-year-old brother).

Also, wasn't there a bunch of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY-level press about the subject matter of this song ("I found out that I was conceived in a rape, that makes me feel really goddamned awful about everything")?
Guns N' Roses vs. St. Louis
06/16/07, 10:30

Oh, Axl, were you really so naive as to think that a redhead can wear pink? Or that that Public Enemy shirt would defuse the reaction to "One in a Million"?
Will It Blend - Glow Sticks
06/16/07, 10:18

I've actually done this (with a cheaper blender) and painted on walls with the resulting goo. I love me some eerie green glow...
Jefferson Airplane - House at Pooneil Corners
06/15/07, 16:00

It deeply saddens me that this band, in ANY iteration, ended up putting out crap like "We Built This City."

My heart melts at 5:41...
Mike Gravel Campaign Commercial - Rock
06/15/07, 13:22

I'm sure you'll have a chance to vote for him in the General Election...how could he NOT get the nomination?
