What fun he was.
Otters holding hands
01/16/08, 21:57

I really want me a sea weasel.
Wrestler gets hit in the mouth with a bowling ball.
01/16/08, 21:20

Physics follow different rules in pro-wrestling -- that's why putting someone through a table hurts them MORE than dropping them onto the concrete, and why placing a folding chair on their prone body and then hitting the chair does more damage than just hitting them would.
Lasagna Cat - 06/15/2007

Hyper-mediocrity, indeed (I'm referring to Jim Davis, not these clips).
Miserlou

If you don't have a copy of "Surf Legends and Rumors," GET ONE IMMEDIATELY. It's the best surf comp I've ever heard, and makes a strong case for the concept that not every surf band played the much-easier Ventures/Chantays style...

I will never understand the animosity so many people have for this album.
Tessie (with intro)

It did work!*

*but '07 was sort of anticlimactic.
Breakin' Bones
01/14/08, 17:27

I really, really need a full album of this.
Miserlou
01/14/08, 17:24

I was at his first East-Coast show in 32 years (this was in late 93, I believe, about three years before this performance) and he gave me his email address. It was a few years before I got email access regularly, and I will always kick myself for not being a penpal with Dick Dale after he made the offer.

I wish "Surf Beat" was as well known as "Miserlou" -- he'd make more songwriting money off of its success, and it's an absolute stomper.
Mighty Big Girl

I must say, I had no idea that Adrian Street recorded more than one song...
Sweet Transvestite With A Broken Nose
01/14/08, 08:20

Ah, how I love heel heat.
Skillz - 2007 Rap Up
01/11/08, 22:16

Some great lines. And dude puts on a hell of a live show.
Femme Fatale (Live)
01/11/08, 22:16

I love Youtube.
B-Boy Document '99 (feat. Mos Def & Mad Skillz)
01/11/08, 22:15

Yeah, but I think Mos' verse works a hell of a lot better as the jump-off for the song. And this one's got a better chorus.
Adrian Street - Imagine What I Could Do To You
01/11/08, 22:14

It's a shame that he isn't better-known anymore amongst the fans of indie/hardcore wrestling -- he put on some really goddamned brutal matches.
SS Deathstar Supergalactik

I miss the Ritz.
Freebird
01/08/08, 09:17

The modestly-dressed keyboardist maintains a respectful distance from the men-folk, I see.
Scott Steiner - Size DOES Matter!
01/08/08, 09:08

It's sort of amazing that Steiner got to swear and make single-entendre sexual references on the same show in which a tag team called "Kronik" couldn't actually have any drug references in their promos or in the names of their moves, and the word "fat" was banned from promos for fear of offending fat people.
The Enchanted Pot
01/07/08, 23:08

It breaks my heart that this clip ends before Karo is introduced as a panacea.
Mall fight scene from Police Story
01/06/08, 22:53

SO many cringe-inducing, jaw-dropping stunts in this scene...
