This was something I suspected in the Couric interview, but has now been confirmed: She is basically not listening to the question. She just listens for certain keywords (like "economy" or "Iraq"), and then recites the first rote-memorized answer she can think of that is associated with that keyword. Regardless of whether it actually answers the question. |

I stopped collecting Transformers when the first Pretenders came out, and even though I was a pretty dumb kid, I still knew they were a retarded idea. The original Pretenders weren't even supposed to be tiny; they were giant humans and giant monsters, which would fool the enemy precisely, oh, zero percent of the time. Jesus.
I say again, suits just didn't know what we wanted out of Transformers. |

Many comics take a few years to really hit their stride, and I've always thought that the Boondocks had the potential to be really good. The first couple of years had some great moments, and it seemed to be building up to something really great, but then McGruder abandoned it to focus on the cartoon.
Therefore the cartoon is what the comic strip Boondocks could have been, while the comic strip is drawn by some webcomic fangirl (seriously) using punchlines McGruder phones in (again, literally) that he probably spends all of two seconds thinking about, as he works on the cartoon and rolls around in big piles of money (hopefully, but probably not). |

The beauty of it is you actually gain some measure of sympathy and understanding for her by the end of the game.
Even in spite of it having been rushed so badly by LA (I hold Lucas personally responsible), I still love this game to death. Sure, it's basically Planescape: Torment in the SW universe, but who cares; Avellone can beat that horse into a fine red mist if he wants, as long as he makes more games like these. |
