My manager has the good sense to just leave me alone. He tries to insulate all his people from the ridiculous MPOTW (Management Paradigm of the Week) that the VP's learn at whatever retreats and just lets us work on what we think is important.

It's tremendously empowering and all he really has to do is come to the meetings we keep inviting him to so he knows what's getting fixed.

Occasionally the higher-ups will ask for something specific and then he'll nudge us in that direction but mostly he just lets us fix what the customers are having the most pain with and not only does it make us feel good to help the customers, the customers like working with us and will actually put up with a lot of stuff because they know we care and will fix it for them after we fix the bigger issues.

There are like 3 or 4 guys there that don't even have to work anymore. We have enough to retire but we actually enjoy working there, so we stay.

Huh. One time horn dog guy was dating this little chick with squinty eyes and anyway he said she had the biggest cunt he had ever seen.

So later they broke up and she started dating his brother and any time I saw her after that she made sure to mention that horn dog guy's brother had a big dick.

So now that whole thing makes sense to me.
