It's been a little thing of mine lately to find out the names of all those little stock sound effects you hear all the time. Ever notice how you're constantly recognizing sounds from the Doom game in shows? The zombie marine bark, the door opening, and especially the ka-WOOSH sound of a fireball.

One I can never find an actual example of is the "creepy windchime" effect.

I watch every clip that is submitted here, approaching each one with a clean slate.

They never crack one star. Again, the only funny thing they ever did was the Jim & Derrick show (the original, before they ran it into the ground). The only reason that was funny was because it was an MTV spoof, 100% of the humor could come from their motion graphics work and not their performances, which is where all their potential humor usually dies.
Inhumanoids - Episode 12

You might be asking yourself how the statue of liberty came to become the nagging house wife from literal hell.

The previous episode, the heroes were ambush and trapped by the monsters. They decided to spray them with a new foam they had come up with but the effects backfired when it acted as an aphrodisiac on the monsters. The asexual cthulhu plant guy fell in love with a giant movie prop of himself, the zombie one turned the heroine into a giant ghoul for a dance partner, and Satan uses lava to animate statues so of course he stole lady liberty for his bride.

I remember being terrified of the zombification scene of this episode as a kid. I had no idea how crazy goofy the plot was.

Every cartoon Chris Latta is in turns into an absurdest fever dream more amazing than it has any right to be.

Remember back when I said Inhumanoids was a vehicle for transformation and vore fetish?

This was one of the monsters:

Muppet Babies showed a lot of Star Wars clip. Back before our family got a VCR, it was the only way to ever watch Star Wars in the morning.

It always pissed me off they kept going back to the babies.

I hate babies.

Wasn't this already here? I specifically remember someone pointing out that Simon is jerking off to Alvin shirtless in the tub.

This was one of many 80s cartoons you had to sit through because you woke up at 5 in the morning, didn't have a Nintendo yet, and Ghostbusters wasn't on for another five hours.

Arcade dominance nostalgia!

I remember being 12 and visiting relatives in a small midwest town and hitting up the local arcade with my cousin. It was the height of Mortal Kombat 2 mania. It turned out no one had ever seen a fatality before, didn't even know they existed. Spending the afternoon surrounded by jaw dropped amazed midwesterners as I decapitated and diced every challenger.

I guess their arcade never had the black trench coat kid selling everyone move lists for $5.

Just a word of warning though, it's free to play and all the free mechs are garbage. You'll repeatedly get stomped into the ground until you grind enough funny money or plunk down real money to buy your own mech.

Rick Deckard knew the reaction times by heart, all the ranges down to the fraction of a second. There had been a delay between the beginning of the speech and slamming the video's stop button. The Nexus 6 had been programmed with the proper reaction, but a human's would have been instant.
