I'd imagine that hitting it would keep it from going off? Not an expert, but it's not like you're taking a flamethrower to a barrel of TNT.
The trick has always been hitting something that small going that fast (without any real guidance system at that point to muck with), and the fact that it always has and always will be infinitely easier to develop "penetration aids" than anti-missile technology. |

Huh. I gave up for a while too, but that was part way through season 2. I thought the entirety of season 1 was a brilliant escalation of events the quality of which you usually don't see outside a Cohen brothers movie. |

This show kind of alternates between dumb and brilliant when it comes to pointing out the insane hypocrisy of the drug war.
It's dumb whenever the point comes from Skyler's mouth (like everything else from her character).
It was understated and brilliant during that one (season 2?) scene where it starts on an extreme closeup of colored crystals that you assume are meth, until it zooms out and you see it's ice for margaritas at the family barbeque.. |
