Wasn't this the screen where the second time you visit it, the rat gets chased by the cat? And unless you've already ventured all the way out to the desert to get the boot, which is HIGHLY FUCKING UNLIKELY by the time you visit the inn for a second time, the game was now unwinnable. Without even the vaguest hint at what you needed to change ("you died tied up in this basement"). |

Sookie is awful because the character is awful. She's so obviously a self-insertion for the fat author.
The intent is for her to be this super nice tolerant talented strong willed woman, but her actions are nothing but a self-centered user who only sees others as favor-dispensers. Her "talent" is a psychic ability she didn't have to work for, and most of the time she wastes it by giving away her secret since she always has to blurt out some childish retort to what the awful ignorant bigot stereotypes around her island of tolerance are thinking (always in complete, coherent sentences). |

Season 3 was by far the best (all thanks to Russel), but the current season is pretty bad. It's all of the overboard crazy of season 2 without any of the fun or focus. EVERY character is now some kind of magical creature and they focus on way too many of them to care.
They need to drop about half of the current plotlines, starting with Hoyt, Tara, another boring V-addiction plot, Sam's brother, and the damn werepanthers.
Really the only potentially interesting plotline of the current season is Bill as king, and it's the one they focus on the least. |

Holy shit. People are still talking about voting for a third party as a way to teach those Dems about fielding a perfect candidate? After what happened in 2000? Really? That's some Tom Hanks' daughter hissy fitting right there.
It's not "I love Obama" as much as "dear god we cannot afford another Texas Governor as president so soon". Rick "fuck the judicial branch" Perry is more terrifying than Bush ever was, and you've got to have your head pretty far up your ass to think Obama is the same. |
