Weird.. I'd figured it was a universal animal trait to make us instinctively fear zombies and Terminators.
The original HAL voice made him rather uncanny-valleyish, like a serial killer.
(Also, I'm apparently the only person who liked the 2001/League of Gentlemen mash-up.)

It's good if you desexualize it. The way to enjoy these kinds of clips is to *not* watch them, but pretend the audio is an actual parent/child interaction you overheard. When taken deadpan it's really, really terrible parenting, child abuse, but no children are harmed!
It also makes you a truly awful person for laughing at 2:00. |

But I would expect it from a pundit who is providing political information for thousands of poorly educated people. That's like a chemist not recognizing "fermium" as an element. He is not knowledgeable on the subject of America. Maybe Ohio wasn't a state yet when he was in school. |
