Zero Punctuation - Alone in the Dark
07/16/08, 22:35 You should go back and read the credits. They contain probably the best joke in the whole episode. The music is credited to a URL. Shame.. his opening and closing song choices were an important part of his funny.
This was a good review but it's no CoD 4. |

High Impulse Weapon System
07/16/08, 11:38 It's a BFG. The payload weight is 2.2 pounds, so 2.2 pounds of explosive or whatever, with a range of about 700m. Since it has no backblast it can be fired from vehicles and confined areas. At 75mm this is just a miniature prototype, the production version is meant to be 84 mm. It would be good for a portable anti-tank system, or riot control, and I can't wait to see one whipped out in a movie gunfight.
Needs better video. |

I Fought the Law

Gorbachov: The Music Video
07/15/08, 18:13 I was going to find a video from a late-80s Soviet rock band for comparison, but discovered that this is way more Glastnosty. |

Bill Hicks yells at a heckler
07/15/08, 18:06 It's been released as a bootleg, "I'm Sorry Folks". It's his worst gig ever. He eventually cracks under the pressure but has to stay on stage. Sometimes you find it on Usenet as "Hicks Loses It". |

Don't be a sucker
07/15/08, 17:56 At the very end, it mentions that it's not public material. The War Dept. was unwilling to use that powerful of anti-racism weapon on the public. Not with the Commies gearing up for war. |

Final Fantasy / Playstation fan has a meltdown. This is HUUUGE.
07/15/08, 17:00 SA is definitely worth :10bux:, it may take a while but it's worth it just for the goldmine forum. High noise-to-signal ratio but you get your moneys worth.
I recognized him from Doom House. |

The Iraq Party Van is an unstoppable force of nature.
07/13/08, 01:35 There troops are so poorly equipped it's shameful. Still, they're far more successful Mobile Party Force than anything Al Queda ever coughed up.
They should upgrade the party van with a PA system, armor, and a disco ball, it'd be great PR. |

Won't You Be My Neighbor?
07/12/08, 07:22 This in no way damages my fond memories of Mr. Rogers. Nothing could do that. |

Surveillance cameras capture tornado devastation
07/12/08, 07:15 The cameras film more and more secure locations.. no matter where you hide, the tornado kills you. |

Cops Testing Tazers
07/12/08, 07:06 These would be awesome to have duels with. |

Labyrinth- Ballroom scene
07/12/08, 07:03 This scene makes me feel like a pretty princess. |

Ghostbusters (1984) - The whole movie (hulu)
07/12/08, 07:00 I can't rate Hulu clips because of solidarity with the rest of the world. Actually I'm just too lazy to visit. |

David Icke - Big Brother: The Big Picture
07/12/08, 06:58 Everything he says is pretty good crazy. He'll believe any damn thing you tell him. |

The Giving Tree
07/12/08, 06:57 Extra stars because it's narrated by the awesome old beatnik himself. |

Inside the Chernobyl Reactor, or: Opening the Sarcophagus
07/12/08, 06:54 Some areas are totally off limits, because a slight shift in the debris could cause lumps of fuel to go critical and start generating kilowatts of power. That would be Bad. They ran hoses into the rooms and flood them with neutron absorbent chemicals if a room starts getting more radioactive. |

Chernobyl and Pripyat, ghost cities in Ukraine, filmed 2007
07/12/08, 06:49 Those fish are catfish, which you'd expect to survive a nuclear disaster. They're pretty much the last fish to die in any scenario. Worse yet, catfish are already on the evolutionary brink of crawling out of the water and biting us. |

Klaus Nomi - DING DONG! The Witch Is Dead! (1982)
07/12/08, 06:44 I am pleased that my first introduction to Klaus Nomi was as the Master's henchman on Venture Bros. |
