I've been watching episodes obsessively now because it's the most enjoyable show I've seen in years and I've fallen in love with Stephen Fry.
Alan Davies has a special place on the show. He used to ALWAYS give the wrong, obvious answer, so Fry replaced his buzzer with the trigger for the "Wrong!" sfx. Then Fry had to start deducting points for any Davies answer beginning with "Apparently..." When Davies first started repeating the end of Fry's sentences, that led to Fry stating that "The leather strap that goes beneath a horses' tail is called the I'm an idiot." Almost caught him, too.
This show always makes me wonderfully happy. |

I used to treasure this as a grainy RealMedia file. The competition was mostly awful.. Scooby Doo, the Harry Potter thing, Kangaroo Jack even got booed a bit, but Yoda was in the running too. Serkis is amazing. |

Atari 2600 E.T. Christmas Commercial

I was too young to realize just how badly those games sucked, because we'd just gotten a 2600 so I rated all Atari games on a scale of "great" to "kickass" until we got an Intellivison.
The ET game programmer has defended himself well, he says he had to singlehandedly write the whole thing from scratch in a couple weeks. |
