H.R. Giger's commentary on Alien Pt 1
12/10/07, 22:55 I couldn't submit a multi-part, so had to make 2 submits.
You want an instant movie or comic book villain? Imagine Giger designing creatures for REAL. You wouldn't have to change anything else about him. |
 |
Bride of Frankensteinsion
12/10/07, 22:38 Apparently, a bona fide attempt to condense a feature film onto 1 reel of 8mm film, for trading prior to videotape. I'm glad the homoerotic subtext survived.
One of the greatest films ever. I'll hopefully be using the "robot death speech" more. You have my sympathies. |
 |
Grand Theft Auto (1977) trailer
12/10/07, 22:23 This looks like a fun movie. I'll bet it's more fun than the Speed Racer remake. |
 |
Star Trek DS9: Sisko goes nuts (in the 60's)
12/10/07, 22:19 They were really stretching, but as far as hokey Star Trek deus ex machina goes, at least it wasn't technically another damn time travel episode. |
 |
Anonymous pwns pedo
12/10/07, 21:59 Perverted Justice work closely with the local prosecutors to be sure they don't violate entrapment laws, so they usually get airtight cases.
With Anonymous god knows what you're getting, they probably did the smart thing and called the cops, who did the smart thing and ran with it.
My county has a dedicated cybercrimes detective, who spends a couple hours a day impersonating a 14 year old online because it's just that damn easy to attract pedos. |

Saving Private Ryan vs Team Fortress 2
12/10/07, 21:45 We're going to hell for thinking that. "You got blood on my suit." |
 |
Saving Private Ryan vs Team Fortress 2
12/10/07, 16:33 I really didn't want to be disrespectful, but I lost it at "Time has been added." |
 |
First 4 minutes of Uwe Boll's Postal
12/10/07, 01:00 German comedy omits the "time" part. More efficient. |
 |
The Miracle Worker - Final Scene
12/09/07, 17:14 One of the few movie scenes that can make me cry |
 |
The EZ Catch Chicken Harvester
12/09/07, 16:38 If you put his to a whiny folk song it would be a PETA video, but merry bluegrass makes everything seem fun. |
 |
Starship Troopers - WAR
12/09/07, 16:27 True, but people searching for "Tom Arnold" now have a choice between this and "The Rosey and Buddy Show" |
 |
Aliens vs Hudson
12/09/07, 15:56 I've decided the scene at 4:10 is best. The dangers of a non-volunteer military. |
 |
Aliens vs Hudson
12/09/07, 15:52 Every scene a classic. In the MAD magazine Aliens parody, they drew Hudson as a man-sized, talking chicken. |
 |
Starship Troopers - WAR
12/09/07, 15:22 I just realized, Jake Busey probably got his line from a heart to heart talk he had once with his father. |
 |
Starship Troopers - WAR
12/09/07, 15:00 More proof this movie was accurate satire. I added a 9/11 tag because that's what it reminds me of. |

Just because you love Japan doesn't mean Japan loves you
12/09/07, 14:32 The only stated discrimination on signs I ever see are against teenagers and shirtless, shoeless yokels. Pushing basic civil rights over "tradition" wasn't easy but we managed to do it here back when 1/3 of the Senate hated "Nigrahs", which is why you can't find any "Whites Only" and "Coloreds Only" signs here like you could in the 50s and 60s. I certainly hope they're working on it. |
 |
Just because you love Japan doesn't mean Japan loves you
12/09/07, 14:24 Same reason I had to give that National Guard music video a high rating. It's such a bad thing that people need to see it as a warning. |
 |
Just because you love Japan doesn't mean Japan loves you
12/09/07, 14:22 So clubs in an American city with signs saying "No foreigners and 'specially NO NIGGERS" would not be indicative of a notably racist society? At least we don't tolerate that shit, even if half of us still think it. |
 |
A giant wave pool filled with Japanese people screaming
12/09/07, 14:18 They need to put a wall in there and see if the 2-slit experiment works with Japanese, and if they are in fact waves or particles. |
 |
Just because you love Japan doesn't mean Japan loves you
12/09/07, 14:14 Anime is a Japanese national heritage the same way Walt Disney is an American national heritage. Adult men shouldn't collect pictures of them unless they're nose art on a bomber. |
