Gulf War Game Boy up and running at the Nintendo World Store
I read a letter where a kid lost his gameboy in a snowbank, and came back and found it when the snow melted in the spring. It still worked.
I have one of these original gameboys that has been growing mold in my parents' basement for about ten years, and I'm sure that would work too if I go over and try to turn it on.
Those things were built like a fucking tank.
Simple 2000 Series: Mini Skirt Police Women
between this, and battle raper, I'm pretty sure that's just how japanese clothes are designed.
Funky dancing on Soul Train
One morning I turned on the WB and Soul Train was on. It was pale facsimile of this.
The Battle of Endor
I feel sorry for the poor pilots who had to use outdated Y-Wings for this battle.
Postal 2 - Cat Gun !
i think i want to play this game again.
The Holocaust Call
shush, that was good.
I never knew if it was bad or not for me to feed bleached paper to my guinea pigs like this.
I did it anyway though.
L7's Donita Sparks tosses her used tampon at the crowd.
5 stars for L7
Negative a million stars for VH1's horrible "top best of whatever the fuck" format shows with unfunny douche faggots spilling off bland and unfunny one liner commentary about whatever they're talking about.
Gushers Mouth Morphers Commercial
I remember this one time I was talking to this cute girl I wanted to ask out, and I got my giant fruit head stuck in my locker too! It was very embarrassing and I haven't eaten Gushers since.
Arty: The strongest man in the world!
pretty sure Arty is on a sex offenders registry somewhere...
Battle Raper 2 Intro
That's pretty epic for a game that basically equates to beating the clothes off of women.
Silent Hill 2 Intro
One of the best games ever.
Aliens abducted a man named George, and his wife Maria, some time in the early 1900's. Maria, while in alien captivity, cared for and soothed an alien baby named Gigue with a lullaby. George however, stole the aliens' psi power and used it to escape.
Some years later, George came home, though Maria did not come with him and George would not talk about what happened.
Fast forward a few generations, and Gigue began his invasion of Earth as revenge for George making off with their secret psi powers. Ninten, George's great grand son, took up the fight against Gigue using his inherited psi powers. At the end of Mother 1, Ninten and his friends (most notably Loid and Ana) defeated Gigue by singing the same lullaby Maria sang; weakening Gigue by reminding him of his love for his inherited mother/Maria. This destroyed his body and halted his invasion.
Gigue lost his physical form and became Giygas; an intangible and limitlessly powerful entity who is no longer in control of himself, so he was imprisoned in the past within the 'devil's machine'. At some point then, Giygas set down a prophecy that a boy and his friends would come forth and defeat him, freeing him from his madness. Giygas shaped his prophecy around his memories of Ninten and his friends, which is why Ness, Paula and Jeff resemble Ninten, Ana and Loid so much. This is also why Ness, in his quest, had to learn the same types of melodies Ninten used to defeat Gigue before. It's also why the people of Magicant were so receptive to Ness and his quest.
Ness is a creation of and also the physical resurrection of Gigue. Gigue created this entity, in the form of a boy, in an effort to defeat himself because he knew he would become unstable and evil. It was important for Ness to defeat the evil side of his essence in Magicant, and then learn the lullaby necessary to pacify the pre-born Giygas/Gigue. Which was actually himself, sort of... (and also why during the final fight in Earthbound, Giygas knows the custom-named psi power the player created for Ness). (And also why the devil's machine has Ness' face on it when the player first comes to it).
At the end of Earthbound, Ness, armed with Maria's Lullaby, and with Paula's prayer, went back in time, and destroyed embriotic Giygas before he was able to reform into a physical body and become the evil Gigue, which lead to the events of Mother 1 (the final form Giygas takes is basically a fetus). Which is also the classic sci-fi circular time paradox, but whatever...
Ness' rival Pokey, through the entire game of Earthbound, was manipulating and using Giygas' power for his own purposes.
But Giygas, as Ness, was able to defeat himself in the past, in the devil's machine. Pokey however, still escaped to the future and was able to form the Pig Mask Army of Mother 3. I've never played Mother 3, nor do I really know the plot aside from Pokey's involvement.
This is also why the whole series is called "Mother" originally, since the plot focuses so much on Gigue and Maria, rather than some random kids in red baseball caps. Or maybe "Earthbound" described Gigue's quest to return to Earth to find his surrogate mother... I don't know. The symbolism the game's creator put into the end scene in the devil's machine is a lot stronger when you think of Giygas as a needy child struggling to re-find the love of his earth bound mother though... (the devil's machine is a vagina and cervix)
Final Fantasy 8 Intro
Remember that plot twist where all the characters realized that they all grew up in the same orphanage, and that the game's main protagonist was their matron? And that they all just sort of forgot but now suddenly remembered?
That was dumb. Still a fun game though.
If Care Bear Stars was an RPG.
Would be better if it were Care Bear Star Wars, as I originally read it.
Kingdom Hearts II intro
oddly, the old Disney ghost busters cartoon short which actually had Donald Duck fighting ghosts was very much art.
Violent Storm Arcade Intro
Hey Violent Storm, you're looking a little Double Dragon there...
Chrono Trigger Intro
1 star for each of Ayla's tits.
2 stars just for Frog.
1 last star for Robo's theme song basically being a Rick Astley song.
John McCain Hates the Bloggers
they're taking revenge for his being such a maverick.
Married With Children - Al's Computer
nobody told Al about Big-Uns.com
