I have a small, no doubt easily disproven or contradicted theory that anything human society finds that is easy to understand, but entirely new to them because it was before they were born, and never heard the whole story in history books, will endlessly fascinate them. Like archeology did in the 19th century and such.
We're just digging back down into layers of vynil, plastic, film, magnetic tape, wax recordings, microfiche, and all the cultural artifacts we can cling to, now that we know information itself is precious. |
