'Work It'-- Pilot
01/06/12, 10:02 This show certainly lacks the comedic chemistry that Hanks and Scolari had which belonged in a better sitcom not anchored to a stale gimmick. |

01/04/12, 20:41 Oh those freaky dog eyes...that dog can see forever |

The In-Laws - Serpentine
01/02/12, 14:59 I had the misfortune of catching part of the incredibly bland 03 remake starring Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks - like most remakes of good movies, decent movies, and even movies that weren't all that great in the first place it wasn't horrifically bad so much as it was bland, gray Extruded Movie Product completely untainted by anything resembling a personality or that wasn't test-grouped and "4 quadrant"ed into tedium.

12/30/11, 12:09 Then there was the Numberwang movie (i.e. the Da Vinci Code parody) "What if numbers...were evil?" |

Animal Planet: Sandra confronts kittens
12/28/11, 21:50 If only they were big enough they'd get us, but instead the cats are simply biding their time...watching...waiting...lulling the whole world into a false sense of security around them... |

The United Nations: A Look Into The Future
12/28/11, 14:37 'The year is 2031.
You've managed to escape from the FEMA camp you were forced into after a false flag dirty bomb attack was used to enact nation wide martial law.
As you run desperately toward the horizon you choke on the air full of aluminum oxide. Routine chem trailing ensures that only Monsanto's genetically modified creations grow, preventing criminal dissidents from growing their own food supply.
As you reach the top of a small hill you come face to face with the military's latest patrol-bot. In a fraction of a second the machine's sophisticated camera and computer system analyze your face and scan the biometric data in your subdermal implant. Immediately the drone opens fire, cutting you down in a hail of bullets that were manufactured in China.
As you sputter out your final breath your one final thought is, "If only I had voted for Ron Paul…"' |

Kung Fu Dino Posse Intro
12/26/11, 16:50 When I saw the title on the front page I thought of one of those TMNT knockoff comics from back during that time period, a (much deservedly) obscure little nothing called Dinosaurs for Hire about the adventures of a group of dinosaurs in the modern age who love eating tacos or some damn thing.
Also, I was browsing at a Half-Price Books last week and in the comics trade paperbacks section they had a battered looking copy of a trade collection of the first few issues of Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters, yet another title from that era and arguably the most "successful" of them. |

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (trailer)
12/21/11, 14:39 Be sure to pick up the Hobbit DVD pack in 2015, complete with all 27 hours of footage not seen in theaters, half of which is devoted to sweeping CGI vistas. |

12/20/11, 12:05 It could have been worse, he could have gotten into an altercation with Space Moose. |

Trekkies: The First Generation
12/18/11, 11:05 But with most of the early Trek convention footage, you will notice there weren't as many fatties then as there would be now, and even those who were around then mostly weren't blobbily obese. |

Uncle Buck TV Series Intro
12/18/11, 11:00 Walking around, starring in a sitcom based on a lousy John Candy movie? That's not right! Your brother doesn't star in lousy sitcoms based on awful movies, none of your sisters star in lousy sitcoms! What's the matter with you!
see, that's a reference to one of Meany's routines and...ah forget it |

The Polar Express - Hot Chocolate
12/18/11, 10:52 Zemeckis' career is now defined by his obession with technological movie making toys over making a decent film - seriously if you thought this was awful you definitely don't want to watch Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol.
What sealed the deal for me with this film was when Hanks' conductor loomed over the protaganist and told him in what was no doubt not intended to be a low, menacing tone "I think you should get on board." Yes, not creepy at all. |

Beyond Evil Trailer
12/18/11, 10:06 Yes, this was on the shelves at the old corner movie rental store I used to frequent back in the late 1990s, surrounded by other dubious looking horror move offerings that were never rented by anybody. |
