No it's OK...it's not like this is Hannah Montana or something. I always appreciated the album and the movie for going beyond simple "rock" bullshit. But, yeah, I always assumed the hint was that there was some dark secret about his father. I got the part about the dehumanization of the dead, I just figured there was something else to it. |

So what is McCain's background in economics? How about the Keating Five scandal and the long lasting effect it had on the American economy. It jumpstarted whole new era of corrupt politicians deregulating all kinds of things in the financial sector. Deregulations that wound up eventually leading up to things like the AIG failure.
Why the Obama campaign isn't playing shit up as much as possible is beyond me. Also, if we want to talk shit about campaign advisors, Phil Gramm is about as easy a target as anyone. In fact, the legislation that Gramm backed in the late 90s is pretty what caused this recent economic breakdown. He may not be on McCain's team anymore, but pointing out why is worth a few ads as well. |

He always asks "how much is that love?" when he gets his coffee, and that's her signal to respond with "Nothing." The old man, who knows the spy game, presses her for further information by saying the additional code phrase "Thank you." When she says "No...thank you." that confirms his worst suspicions; he is her intended target and he hasn't long to live, which is why he has the awkward look at the end. He's happy he will finally die, he has been silently wishing for death, but does he want it to be at the hands of fellow agents? |

I'll give you a serious rebuttal, though not particularly long.
Fish haven't "evolved" to avoid hooks because hooks are not a natural mechanism. They are men interfering with the life cycle of fish to catch them (more on that later). There is no possible way that evolution can catch up to compete with man-made ways of killing an organism. This is why conservation is important.
Idiots can also ask things like "why haven't fish evolved to avoid bears catching them and eating them?" Because nature isn't retarded. Bears need to eat. bears have been designed to catch fish. Fish have been designed with advantages to help avoid bears (live underwater, fast, agile, etc...), but nature would certainly not grant every eco-system invulnerable animals who constantly avoided death. Evolution and nature is about competition and keeping animals on their toes, for the most part. (though there are exceptions)
But, going into the hooks thing again, why do hooks even exist? because they are part of mankind's ability to use higher brain power to use tools to catch food. Therefore, mankind evolved into a higher thinking animal capable of such solutions to his problems. So maybe a better question would be "where did the hooks come from?" as opposed to why fish don't avoid them, which is a retarded argument to make anyway.
These people always fall back on "well, God made it that way" or some such nonsense which makes them far more unwilling to actually think about an issue. You can't "debunk" that kind of retardedness, and that's how creationists get by. by creating arguments so ridiculous or restrictive, you can't debunk them, just like the Kent Hovind example in the video.
