Remember folks, the important thing to take home with you from this is that Pastor Rick Warren said that at this event, McCain would go second and would not be able to hear Obama's answers. Turns out McCain is so fundamentally dishonest that he showed up to this late and watched most of it on his way to the show. Warren lied to the public and said McCain had been kept aside in a green room without any TV when he knew he hadn't. The McCain campaign tried to dance around it saying he hadn't watched any of it on his way to the show, but in one of his answers, he references another of Warren's questions to Obama which he hadn't been asked yet. That says volumes about McCain, pretty much.

Oh, I would also like to point out that McCains loudmouthed involvement in this whole thing is actually against the law. The Logan Act to be precise which was enacted in order to discourage exactly the kind of asshattery that can come from someone engaging in their own style of unofficial diplomacy when they have something to prove (like during an election season). Nothing will come of it, no one has the balls to actually call him on it, but it's still worth noting. |
