I don't know what to rate it. But I admit I am fascinated by the cosmic joke going on with these movies. They are spoofs of popular movies and popular culture. These spoofs are done in a way so as to imply that these aspects of culture are stupid or, at least, that the celebrities they make fun of are idiots and people who like them are idiots. Yet, they make so many of these spoofs, the spoofs themselves are pop culture now and are just as shallow, if not worse, than the shallow pop culture they're trying to make fun of.
Kind of maddening logic really. |

I don't think that's what he's saying at all. He's saying there is a clear division between religion and science and neither one needs to necessarily intrude on the other. You can believe that a God set the universe in motion and still believe in science. If you think God made the universe, then God made the physics and laws of that universe. Science is an exploration of what God created. Intelligent Design is all about using religion to explain science, which is totally different. ID is all about "well, if you can't come up with a plausable explanation CONSIDER THAT GOD DID IT END OF STORY STOP BOTHERING TO USE SCIENCE HERE". And THAT'S what ID is. ID is a clever ruse to slowly insert creationism into schools and is very different from someone saying "I believe in God and I believe God has a design for the universe, but I also think science is the tool to understanding his creation." |

As far as I'm concerned, this looks pure awesome, especially seeing that maybe many of the more "magical" kind of skills might actually be useful now. BUT, that said, this demo thingy leads to the question: will the game still have randomly generated levels and areas if they're going to rely on scripted events? I know D2 had a few set areas that never changed, but most of the world was randomized in some way. |

This is so horrible. In my junior year in high school my dipshit english teacher showed this to us (though I don't remember why). Initially I was excited until I found out it was this version. We later had to write a report on what we thought of the movie and I said something like "I'm sure it would have been better with the original score."
My paper came back with a message in good ol' teachers red pen saying "I DON'T THINK THE CLASS WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED OLD ORGAN MUSIC!!!"
