I think this is one of his weaker performances, mostly because the audience seems to not quite go along with him that well once he gets into his historical and "thinking" comedy. I think it was a weak crowd. Still...I love Eddie Izzard. |

The Big Rigs game itself and the fact that it exists was funny. The endless videos and "funny" reviews of it in the year or so that followed it's release was like Angry Nintendo Nerd giving everyone in games journalism his own cancer/AIDS and having an infected legion of his little clones doing reviews for just one game.
How can you improve on a joke that is the game itself? Answer: You can't. |

Wow...I am honestly and truly amazed at all the Event Horizon love around here. I have never met anyone other than myself who actually anjoyed the movie. I didn't think it was a masterpiece or anything, but I thought it was decent and I'm also a sucker for movies with great production design and cinematography.
Interesting trivia, though: I remember reading articles about the production before it came out and I clearly recall the film's story being about some kind of demon from the middle ages having taken possession of the ship, or something like that. Which lends credence to all the stories about how the movie was radically changed and cut in production. |

After this movie came out, for YEARS every damn newbie on any BBS or the usenet (the web wasn't quite as popular just yet) chose the handle ZeroCool or Z3R0C007 or whatever...It's was like the Sephiroth of its time. |

I seriously challenge anyone to come up with as many foreign relations/foreign policy fuck ups that Obama has made compared to John McCain. And this INCLUDES the outright lying he's been doing dressed up as "gee shucks I done shur forgot the right thing" bullshit (like repeatedly associating Al-Qaida with Iran so much that Joe fucking Lieberman has to correct you on camera)
If anyone wants to talk shit about Obama misspeaking about his grandfather or whatever the fuck, then come up with at least an equal amount of public statements (from interviews, speeches, whatever) that occur on the same scale.
