The Gods Must Be Crazy 3

There were actually about 6 or so of these films featuring the same bushman from Gods Must Be Crazy, but all of them after part 2 were made by other filmmakers and mostly in China. Gods Must Be Crazy 3 is interesting in that it was made by some notable Hong Kong talent. (it stars Lam Ching Ying who was mostly famous for being in the Mr. Vampire films, so of course there's a vampire in this movie, Stephen Chow co-wrote some of it, and it was primarily written and produced by Barry Wong who was responsible for a whole slew of awesome Hong Kong movies) |

No one "ruined" Mr. Freeze..it's fucking Mr. Freeze...an iceman villain. The worst anyone could do is make him boring and not even Batman And Robin managed that. |

Star Trek - Titles and Chase Scene

Nero's ship was retrofitted with Borg technology and stolen from the Romulan military. There was WAY too much backstory in the film that they decided not to include which was, in my opinion, a really, really bad idea.
And he doesn't take a 20 year nap. After Nero's encounter with the ship in the beginning of the movie, his craft takes enough damage that it requires extensive repairs, so they are stranded on the edge of Klingon space. the Klingons investigate, and take the entire crew captive and imprison them. Nero and crew escape the prison 20 years later, take back their now-repaired ship the Klingons were trying to keep secret, and then lay waste to a whole host of ships (which is briefly alluded to in the film) and set off on the rest of their "mission" which they waited 20 years for.
Part of this is in the deleted scenes, but again....the backstory (which was made into a mediocre comic book) was way too integral to the film's plot and should not have been handled that way. |

Unwatchable Scene from Wild, Wild West

I dunno...I didn't really have a huge problem with this movie. I thought it was a waste of the franchise (you could do a lot cooler things with Wild Wild West) and Will Smith was a poor choice for the role. (which is true of almost anything he's in) Kevin Kline was a great choice for Artemis Gordon, but he gets shafted so badly for screentime. If the producers hadn't been so concerned with giving Will Smith yet another vehicle for his shitty comedic bullshit it probably would have turned out as a more passable movie. I normally like Barry Sonnenfeld, but I think here he was just trying to make Men in Black 1.5 or something. |

My "fuck Christians" comment is directed towards the Christians who, when forced to play by the same rules everyone else has to play in this country, play the victim card and act like they are some oppressed religious minority who are banned from worship. It's not only intellectually dishonest, but it's complete bullshit. Even when they are given extra consideration and dominate the religious dialogue wherever they go, even a tiny thing like a small group of people gathering to meditate is seen as some kind of horrific intrusion on their little private fantasy world. "If only everyone was like us."
And then we see the REAL religious oppression: a legitimate gathering that falls under "religious" purposes that is not breaking any laws or violating any codes, that then suddenly has to justify it's existence legally or else face harassment.
The kind of shit in this video happens all the time: be it someone who wants to have raves in his house or start a private club or have huge gatherings. If it poses a threat and people complain, the city says "hey, do these things and then it'll be OK" and 9 out of 10 people comply. But because it's a Christian, now it's "He should be allowed to violate the law because JEBUS AND THE BIBLE" and people, generally, will be dumb enough to get suckered into buying that line of thought. So, yeah...fuck Christians.
