Dishonored is one of the best games of 2012. No....THE best game of 2012. It was made by some of the folks who made the Thief games (and it's relationship to those games is insanely obvious the more you play the game...it's basically Thief 4 as far as I'm concerned, spiritually), the Ultima Underworld games, and basically developed most of Bioshock 2 (and the superb expansion for it, Minerva's Den) I heartily recommend it to all.

That said, this is funny.

Oh, Rodman is profoundly dumb. I'm just saying, this reeks of one of his dipshit publicity stunts like he used to do in the 90s.

Dennis Rodman is the Dumbest Man Alive

Rodman's not that dumb. He took an opportunity in public to do something faux-shocking once again, just like the good ol'' days, so that now everyone talks about him for awhile. He probably figures he can use this press to his advantage somehow. Maybe he's pitching a new reality show or something stupid....who knows.

Gee, I wonder if maybe some of his co-workers stumbled across his (mirrored) videos about how women sometimes deserve to be raped and/or murdered.

Yeah, this is definitely the new "meme" of the idiotic in America today: if you suffer from ANY sort of consequences whatsoever from ANYTHING you say EVER, it's basically like Nazism times 10 and America is now dead.
I am SO fucking tired of hearing this shit from random people about the most ridiculous shit.

Formally in Japanese, "Hello Kitty" refers to the group of related characters, while the main character herself is known as Kitty White (キティ・ホワイト Kiti Howaito?), or affectionately as Kitty-chan (キティちゃん Kiti-chan?). According to the official character profile, she was born in the suburbs of London, England on November 1. Her height is described as five apples and her weight as three apples. She is portrayed as a bright and kind-hearted girl, very close to her twin sister Mimmy. She is good at baking cookies and loves Mama's homemade apple pie. She likes to collect cute things and her favorite subjects in school are English, music and art.[2][8]

Hello Kitty is portrayed surrounded by a large family who all possess the surname 'White.' Her twin sister Mimmy is described as "shy and very girly," interested in sewing and dreaming of marriage. While Hello Kitty wears a bow on her left ear, Mimmy wears hers on the right. Their Papa, George, is described as dependable, humorous but also absent-minded. Mama, Mary, is portrayed as a good cook who loves doing housework. Grandpa Anthony likes to tell stories and Grandma Margaret likes sewing.[8] Dear Daniel is Hello Kitty's childhood friend. His character profile describes him as born in London on May 3 with the real name Daniel Starr. He travelled with his parents and was away from Hello Kitty for a long time. He is portrayed as fashionable and sensitive, good at dancing and playing the piano, with an interest in photography and dreams of being a celebrity.[9] Charmmy Kitty is Hello Kitty's pet, a white Persian. She is described as docile, obedient and fond of shiny things. Her necklace holds the key to Hello Kitty's jewellery box.[10] Hello Kitty also has a pet hamster named Sugar, who was a gift from Dear Daniel.[11]
In 1962, Shintaro Tsuji, founder of Sanrio, began selling rubber sandals with flowers painted on them.[12] Tsuji noted the profits gained by adding a cute design to the sandals and hired cartoonists to design cute characters for his merchandise.[12] The company produced a line of character merchandise around gift-giving occasions.[13] Hello Kitty was designed by Yuko Shimizu and was added to the lineup of early Sanrio characters in 1974. The character's first appearance on an item was a vinyl coin purse in Japan where she was pictured sitting between a bottle of milk and a goldfish bowl.[14] She first appeared in the United States in 1976.[4][5]

Sanrio decided to make Hello Kitty British because at the time when she was created, foreign countries, in particular Britain, were trendy in Japan. In addition, Sanrio already had a number of characters set in the US and they wanted Hello Kitty to be different.[6][15] Shimizu got the name Kitty from Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, where in a scene early in the book Alice plays with a cat she calls Kitty.[16] Sanrio's motto is "social communication" and Tsuji wanted the brand name of the cat to reflect that. He first considered "Hi Kitty" before settling on "Hello" for the greeting.[17] Spokespeople for Sanrio have said that Hello Kitty does not have a mouth because they want people to "project their feelings onto the character" and "be happy or sad together with Hello Kitty."[18][6] Another explanation Sanrio has given for her lack of a mouth is that she "speaks from the heart. She's Sanrio's ambassador to the world and isn't bound to any particular language".[15] Representatives for Sanrio have said they see Hello Kitty as a symbol of friendship, and they hope she will encourage friendship between people across the world.[6] There has been some suggestion[by whom?] that Hello Kitty has its origins in Maneki Neko, and that the name Hello Kitty itself is a back-translation of Maneki Neko, which means beckoning cat in English.

He actually finished Sass Girls X? I thought it never got off the ground. I seem to remember that ages ago he basically became a forum regular and asked people to help fund his project, so a few on Red gave him money or something, right? And then he promised us all issues of it, but I thought he never finished it.

I like how everyone gave shit to Far Cry 3 because of how the protagonist goes from sniveling wiener to one-man murder machine in the space of about an hour, but in Tomb Raider it's apparently some pro-feminist thing that a woman with absolutely no combat experience of any kind goes from stranded and helpless to full on Rambo 4/Arnold Schwarzenegger-in-Commando/dodging missiles and driving jeeps up the ass of generic bad guys in even less time.

A demo of black isle's failed fallout 3 game

I think some people take these games way too seriously. FO3 just let you explore an open world, apocalyptic wasteland thing and just have fun with it and do whatever you largely wanted to, which is what I liked about it. The storyline wasn't very strong, but I don't think the vast majority of the people who played it gave a shit.
Obsidian seemed to have a weird allergy to this type of thing. New Vegas felt like they were clumsily trying to reconcile the fact that 99.9999% of everyone who loved FO3 wanted more open world stuff with their desire to tell a more focused, linear storyline with more distinct characters (and actual villains). To get around this, Obsidian, in my opinion, did something very awkward and designed the world to still be technically open, but basically funnel you along the storyline. Anyone just wanting to enjoy the open world nature was pummeled into submission by the ludicrous difficulty and basically discouraged from getting out there and doing what they wanted in favor of the devs trying to get you the play the game in a way they preferred you to play it. I found it somewhat annoying, personally, though I understand why some liked it better. I also preferred FO3s design approach of "pick a direction and you'll find something interesting to do/explore" as opposed to NVs approach of "pick a direction and you might maybe find something that kills you or some sort of invisible wall meant to limit your progress." Most of these are things I also really disliked about the original FO games as well. So for me, personally, Bethesda was the best thing to happen to the franchise, clumsy storytelling and all. I would like to see Obsidian get to do another Fallout, but I look forward to what Bethesda does with their next entry moreso. On a side note, though, there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever between FO3s shitty ending and ME3s shitty ending. FO3 suffered just bad writing and wanting to create an awkward excuse to add the DLC and the "proper" ending (which was also clumsy), but the ending didn't negate the entire game. ME3s ending was a deus ex machina of the worst kind that literally negated every single thing about the series up to that point for no other reason than to try to "mindfuck" the audience thinking it was epic levels of cleverness to do so.

It's funny, I love UCB, I just thought it sort of ruined the joke. In the best way, I guess, though.

While I will agree that New Vegas is the official continuation of F1 and 2, I also think the Bethesda 3 is a way better, more entertaining game. Flame away.

Apart from the JD Salinger joke, I actually didn't like this bit much because it kind of ruined the joke of the series that you never knew exactly WHAT the Titte Bros. were.

FIRST TIME SMOKING WHITE RABBIT ( HERBAL INCENSE ) Review
03/02/13, 14:56

I don't know about White Rabbit specifically but basically there's all sorts of "herbal blend" smokes out there, all of varying quality. The implication is, of course, that smoking this shit will get you TOTALLY BLAZED BRO but the few blends I've tried taste like you're smoking incense or something. It's horrible. They're completely legal, but not very good for you at all. Typically these blends are usually based around different types of cannabis (the no-THC kind of cannabis plants that are related to pot but not actually pot) that have no actual chemical element that would get you high, but people of course claim they do anyway. NO I SWEAR, BRO.
The thing about this stuff is that since it doesn't really get you high, the makers usually add a lot of weird shit to give you a woozy feeling to make you assume it's the same as a pot-style smoke, and the stuff they add to it is usually, like, 10 times worse for you than just actually smoking weed.
There are some brands on the market that are natural blends and very clean, pleasant smokes, but that stuff doesn't sell. At the end of the day, if you really want to get high on something that's legal, buy salvia.
