I think the first three books make a perfect trilogy that stands very much on its own. My personal feeling is that 4 onwards was really unnecessary and shows Herbert really sort of struggling to over-complicate things. Leto II's plan is laid out in it's entirety by book 3 and we know where it will go, what will happen, and the predictions of the future are inescapably accurate. This leaves book 3 on a really cool note that leaves the future open to interpretation but you know that, no matter what, things will eventually turn out for the best for humanity. really didn't need more. It'd be like if Tolkien decided to make Lord of the Rings II which was mostly political intrigue. |

Herbert really should have stopped after the third book. The story basically ends there on a perfect note. The rest of the books just get weaker and weaker. The 7th and 8th Dune books that his son wrote just put salt in the wound. |

Oops..I meant the navigator in the Children of Dune miniseries was accurate to the book. The weird man-bat thing in the original Dune miniseries...I have no idea where that came from. |

The Third State Navigators are never seen if I remember correctly (the gas obscures them and no one but other Guild members truly know what they look like) but people are told that they look like giant fish-men or something like that. The mini-series version was accurate to the book (though a bit silly), the Lynch version is more disturbing and surreal. |

The restoration of this on blu ray is pretty damn impressive. I always liked this movie. I think it worked pretty good and I'm always a sucker for good visuals and style and such.
The guy who finds the robot and brings it to the salvage place is Carl McCoy from Fields of the Nephilim.
@paranex This looks the way it's supposed to as far as I remember, and I saw it in theaters. I think maybe you saw a bad print or something? I remember on VHS the visuals took a bit of a beating in the resolution department. |

Slayer is probably the last band I ever expected to see perform live in my entire life, but a few years ago circumstances were such that I got to see them play Seasons in the Abyss in its entirety live and they really kicked a whole ton of ass.
So, RIP Jeff Hanneman I guess. |

Here's what this game is: It's basically an avenue for Asian hackers to steal people's money. It's not designed so that you buy things by accident per se, it's designed to look like a semi-legit title with in-app purchases that are very quick to access so when one of these developers steals passwords or whatever, they can very quickly steal your money by downloading and opening up this app on your account.
The App Store has a huge problem with Chinese and Korean games that are basically just place-holder software for developers who then pay hackers or whoever for password databases. They get into your account, buy their own apps then buy in-app purchases within their own apps. A shitty game farted out on 10 minutes that costs $100 wouldn't last on the app store. Plus, an account can only buy a title once. with IAP, the hackers can keep purchasing things and make more money. This happened to my account a few years back. Apple got hacked, passwords were leaked, and one day I logged into my account to discover that about a dozen shitty Chinese apps had been bought on my account (all mostly non-functional games with one level) but at that time, integrated in-app purchasing had not yet been rolled out. Even so, I only use pre-paid credit so they only stole about $15 and I got it back anyway. |

I get the feeling that with GTA4 there was a lot of different ideas about where the game should go, internally. The storyline made that readily apparent. I also think the stand-alone side-games, Lost and the Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony basically comprise the "real" GTA4 as it was likely intended to play out.
This game seems like they sort of have a better idea how they want it to be overall, and the idea of basically combining three storylines and characters will be interesting to see. Like many, I also hate the fact that the "old" GTA universe is dead and buried for some stupid reason, but it's hard to be too bummed by it since Saint's Row has filled the gap so nicely. |

The first Dune TV movie was pretty awful (I also like how they went out of their way to mispronounce almost every single thing in it, presumably to set it apart from the movie, despite the fact Herbert signed off the language used in the movie), but Children of Dune was actually pretty good. |

If your iTunes account is hooked up to a dynamic source of money (credit card, etc.) yes. Shit like this, plus the hacking problems Apple has had over the past few years made me operate my iTunes account solely with giftcards and never keep more than 25-30 bucks on it. |
