As I understand it (from what Ralph told me) the movie was supposed to be a three hour horror movie, but just as he was about to start shooting he was handed a completely different script and ordered by the studio to make their version. Bassinger was also a huge pain in the ass because she wanted the movie to be something she could show her kids, she signed on for a movie about porking cartoons and wanted something to show her kids. I'm pretty sure this is around the time she bought that town somewhere down south.
Ralph claimed he had a version that was awesome, but I have my doubts, he wasn't the most truthful of dudes. |

I worked on this (and the spiritual brother The Dark Eye), as a tester in 1996. Oddly, later I almost married a woman who had previously dated Lutke, She gave me some of his computer parts. I have a old floppy drive that has "This is Jim Lutke's First Floppy Drive" written on it in black marker. |
