Girl in a hallway
01/02/11, 15:17 Doesn't it seem a little scripted?
It looks as if next person enters just after she's finished her laughing as the previous person enters the frame...or is it just cut at those places? |

Sandra Lee's Hanukkah Cake
12/05/10, 17:19 You are saying that your curiosity is morbid because you wonder how marshmallows made from fish bone marrow taste... compared to "normal" ones made from cow/pig/etc. bone marrow? |

Optical Camouflage Demo with Kinect
12/05/10, 16:26 Well I presume the code is using all the body recognition magic (which presumably does use depth) built in.

Sandra Lee's Hanukkah Cake
12/05/10, 15:45 Kosher marshmallows were tough to find, I think there used to be a brand that was made from fish gelatin (which can be kosher).
I can find "Sweet and Sara" vegan marshmallows everywhere now but, they are expensive (5-6 bucks for about 8 big pieces). Give those people the Nobel Prize in chemistry for successfully making a vegan marshmallow. |

Proufoundly irritating commercial for sweetener.
12/02/10, 22:01 All non-natural sweeteners give you cancer?
I like the stevia-based colas enough (just when you feel like something bubbly), but it still ain't no sugar, agreed. |

Hi, my name is Jessica and I'm a Mormon.
11/28/10, 21:25 I feel nothing but sadness in these cases. The insanity of school is supposed to be somewhat counteracted by the sane-ness of parents interested in the well being of their child.
There are some instances where it seems to work the other way, children being given a reprieve from insane parents by being exposed to (at least) a diverse range of normal social behavior at school.
What is worse than an insane parent enforcing the insane training system that some educational bureaucrat has thought up with physical punishment? |

So you want to get a PhD in the Humanities?
10/28/10, 21:56 SlolRo,
Science degree, are you serious? Most of my friends are in year 4 of their postdocs, fields that are generally some mix of chemistry or biology or physics. Even Comp Sci. is starting to get the postdoc disease. Those that are assistant professors are in their mid 30s, living in a new town somewhere pretty far away from any place they have ever lived; the salary doesn't tend to be that great either.
Granted, you could have it worse (be in debt for grad school, instead of getting paid a living wage), but many of these people have the ability to earn a non-crappy standard of living. Many of them spend a lot of time envying their colleagues who went to medical school. |

Richard Heene debuts the NEW BEARSCRATCH!!
10/28/10, 21:44 I would give anything for Troy Hubertise to just show up inside the house at the end in the Ursus Mark VII, and just turn and stare at the camera without saying anything. |

Best moment in FFVI
10/27/10, 22:14 This video prompts me to tell you all about the greatest battle I ever had in FF6.
Somehow got to the place where you get the "offering" severely underleveled. Got to the point where you open the treasure chest and have to fight an orange ghost samurai.
Down to my last guy with no hope of winning, all it would take is another attack by the samurai to finish me off...but it would be oh so sweet to get the offering now and be able to deliver that damage multiplier.
What can I do? Yes! I have some magicite! Maybe I will get lucky and call Alexander! *magic sprinkles* ok magicite, do your thing.
Is that a cat bouncing around? You can't be serious...what good could a stray god damn cat do me! I bet you the effect will miss anyways. I'm doomed.
Oh, I guess the samurai is confused, well at least it didn't miss...but he'll probably just snap out of after one hit.
*samurai deathstrokes himself*
Oh...well...that worked out rather nicely.
The story was too good to keep all wound up inside of me.

Clueless congressman Pete Stark acts like a smartass
07/03/10, 12:01 "These people are takin' our jobs..."
"They never work a day here!" (approving nods)
To be fair, different people said each of those lines, but the people in the anti-immigration movement don't seem to partition themselves on these (apparently) contradicting views.
5 stars for "What are you doing saving $1 for a tomato!" |
