No, see, they're fictional, so of course all other works of fiction are in their canon. I mean, their history.

They actually did a not-awful job at casting Bill and Ted, at least, it looks like. I had no idea this existed before now.

The Wikipedia editors are probably looking forward to it but don't want to seem non-neutral.

I'm morbidly curious enough to download the demo.

HOW DARE PEOPLE TRY TO ENTERTAIN ME IN A WAY THAT MAKES ME AWARE OF A PRODUCT
Facebook: The Movie
09/05/10, 03:08

I have Facebook but barely ever log in because it's so much work to keep up with, and then people make important announcements on it which I don't hear about until like two months later because they "already told me" on Facebook. Also I don't like how Facebook tries to stalk all my online activity and automatically connect to every single fucking site that I go to.

I also hate how Facebook has become the de-facto "walled garden" that everyone wants to use to communicate with each other. Perfectly good web communities are being gutted because people have decided they'd rather it be a facebook group. It feels like Facebook has all the makings of a cult dynamic that cause people to become recruiters for it, and it has an insidious and toxic viral effect on the rest of the Internet.

From the trailers this movie looks like it might actually go into pretty good detail about all the shady bullshit that Facebook does and I hope that it causes more people to think twice about moving all their online activity to it.

This guy thinks someone he played in a video game may have been cheating.

Back in college I had a friend who was really into Warcraft II and always wanted to play it all the time. I sucked at it and didn't have any desire to get any better. But he'd keep on insisting that I play because he thought it'd be fun if he had more people to play against. So I agreed to a game, and he beat me very quickly. He wanted to play again, but I was still uninterested, but I agreed to play one more time.

While he was working on building his home base and gathering resources (and spending all his resources on buildings rather than on more units), I devoted my one little peon to finding his base, and when I found it, I attacked his peon, and through a lot of luck, won.

He quit the game in disgust and accused me of cheating. I never played against him again.

There are actually quite a few different algorithms to line them up programmatically. You do need to have some overlap between the images (the more the better) but there are a lot of techniques with different pluses and minuses. My personal favorite is the Graphcut texture algorithm, which can also do a lot of neat things (like making video seamlessly loop and doing very convincing photo-collages without a lto of manual work).

This seems to be what Photoshop CS5 uses for its floating object stuff as well.
