Fat Racist Matthew Heimbach Stands up for White Interests
05/13/13, 13:03 As a card-carrying member of the Southern Poverty Law Center (I even have Morris Dees' book!), I would like to deliver a 2,000 calorie knuckle sandwich to this piece of shit, but I think he'll probably serve me better by ensuring that Republicans never win another landslide in this country again. |

Tim Heidecker Stand Up Nine - Part 1
05/12/13, 15:31 Even if you hate Tim & Eric, it's extremely accurate. If you watch conservative standup submissions on here, you know it's true. |

Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer 'Rich people don't create jobs'
05/11/13, 15:30 Also, no amount of well-cited evidence is able to fracture the resolve of partisan hacks, nor does it enlighten the willfully ignorant. |

Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer 'Rich people don't create jobs'
05/11/13, 15:13 I can't think of many TED talks that spend a lot of time spewing citations. They are meant to be little globules of ideas that inspire you to seek out more ideas. It's worked on me pretty well so far. |

Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer 'Rich people don't create jobs'
05/11/13, 14:54 TED apparently lifted the ban due to thousands of cries of hypocrisy from their fans, so it is on their site now. |

Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer 'Rich people don't create jobs'
05/11/13, 14:49 Meant to say "in a world of giant multinationals..." |

Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer 'Rich people don't create jobs'
05/11/13, 14:48 You can scale "the business side and government side" up and down. Schumpeter thought that government-propped monopolies made life better for everybody (his economic beliefs were one of the pillars of fascism, though this isn't his fault). Of course it's wrong, or is it? China's cellular service is a state monopoly and it's a whole lot better than ours.
Scaled down, small government cannot create big monopolies. von Mises has a valid point in that the great monopolies of the world were all created or propped up by giant governments giving them money and preferential treatment. The East India company, the age of robber barons, IBM... What happens when there are no big government companies in a nation filled with giant multinationals? Predatory capitalism from outside.
We are very much stuck in a vicious loop of power protecting itself and then being torn asunder when things get too bad at the bottom. We're trying desperately not to repeat the same mistakes, but we keep can't seem to help it. This week a Senate bill inched forward that would cut about $5B off of our food stamp program. During a RECESSION in which millions of people are struggling to apply their work experience to jobs that can't pay their rent. We already know what happens when this is attempted, just look at Prime Minister Cameron's Britain. Why are we doing it then? It's such a paltry sum in comparison to the tens of trillions of American dollars being laundered around the world untaxed, not going to any job creation anywhere, yet its effects will be immediately devastating. |

Between Two Ferns/Spring Break Anthem #WACKWEDNESDAYS
05/10/13, 23:11 It was well written. Every sentence draws the reader in. It has a twist ending that leaves readers on edge. |

Screwballs (full movie, 1983)
05/10/13, 22:25 Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the movie with the quintessential cocaine-fueled sex romp beach song "Do the Screw!"? |

How to turn down your SOULMATE
05/10/13, 20:13 Aww man he worked so hard to build up this shocking piece of conservative humor and you gave away the punchline in the description. |

Al Sharpton has some things to say about Rocky the Zombie
05/09/13, 14:35 Not a fan of Al Sharpton, I think he's a pretty corrupt man himself, but man does the Right keep digging. I try to avoid MSNBC and the exchange of heated air on television. It's kind of like idea porn. |

At the Coffee Shop - Episode 1 - 'Carmine Must Diet'

Between Two Ferns/Spring Break Anthem #WACKWEDNESDAYS
05/08/13, 13:30 I've loved Lonely Island, but when they got on SNL I fell out of touch with them. I'm On the Motherfucking Boat became this party calling card for douchebags everywhere. I think Lonely Island got their revenge. I'd love to hear fratboys play this song at parties. I hope that this song causes suicides in fraternities across the country. |
