Nobody will be convinced that paying more taxes will save the environment, because it wont.
Being as there's absolutely no technology that can replace or help redress the imbalance that systematically removing ourselves from the petrochemical dependencies we've established over the years.
You're basically asking people to take a reduction in their quality of life.
Who arbitrates this?
To me this sounds like a bureaucratic nightmare and there are so many ways for it to be screwed up and to turn an alleged environmental problem into societal one, a potentially nasty problem.

I had this happen once when I was working in the dead of winter out in the middle of nowhere and I was trying to dry the ass end of my fire retardant coveralls via a lit tiger torch stuffed into a 6 inch manifold.
It turns out they weren't all that fire retardant and thank the gods I was wearing long underwear underneath otherwise it would've been a very cold drive back to town. |

Either way, I'm less convinced of the idea that the wealthy in your country are hoarding some treasure trove of wealth as I am convinced that some of the more profitable american based companies are increasingly outsourcing work and reinvesting perpetually less and less money into its own host economy.
In that sense it is a very real problem, however at this point threatening these companies and wealthy families will simply expedite their leaving the country.
These are the seeds sown by globalism. |

@fattaty, I agree that there that denying regular people a bare minimum in terms of care, especially in terms of emergency care is not unreasonable.
You're correct in that the money could be found for basic services, especially if your country would stop conducting such idiotic wars.
However, as far as planning to further levy taxes against the wealthy, I sincerely doubt it will work.
They'll simply leave the country if they find it to be too personally inequitable.
I hate to say it, but you guys are in a real state right now and I don't think it will be so easy to recover from.
This is a problem that goes back much further than the last decade and perhaps it is nearly too far gone without causing a major upheaval in american society to change it. |

The point of society isn't simply to shore up economic disparities for everyone considered, for that to be even remotely feasible there would have to be committee determining who could breed and when based on how many people the budget could take care of.
Slippery slope.
I don't know, why is it always poor people who assume money grows on trees and the mean nasty rich people are just hiding it from everyone else?
A society that is no longer held accountable for their actions is one that will cease to produce reasonably thinking people.

2.5 stars for evil, 2.5 stars for fantastic schadenfreude better known as "lulz".
The guy on the far left in the background knows what I'm talking about.
I like how the two meatheads, one up front, and the guy next to the guy with obvious troll tendencies have a morbid and serious look on their face as if to say: "Bro, I got fucking tricked... AGAIN!"
She's not a partcularly convincing tranny, and even more avoidable if you realize that even if she were a woman, she has some very androgenic qualities to her stature and face... even if she's a woman that should be sign enough to run for the hills.
What I don't like is shows like this are partly intended for the shock value and partly to shame traditional heterosexual values as if its okay to be attracted to "feminity", but to discriminate on the basis of anatomical correctness is wrong. Which of course is bullshit.
