Sounds like it was ripped from vinyl, so it's a bit fuzzy and crackly, but it suits the music.

After this and "Stranger than Kindness" I really, really want a full-blown Pin-Ups/These Foolish Things/Kicking Against the Pricks/whatever covers album from her.

Best Christmas pop song ever recorded, without exception.

Kevin Kline!

...wait, holy shit, this is only the second Cristina song here? Could've sworn I at least posted "Things Fall Apart" some Christmas or other...

Bioshock Infinite trailer
08/12/10, 20:18

I get the impression from reading/watching interviews with Levine that any connection to Bioshock- any confirmation at all that they share the same continuity, even- will be slight, and that the name is just a way to connect the basic premises (alternate past, failed [or in this case failing] utopian society, etc).

Even though I know this is the equivalent of that super-early Bioshock trailer where the player gets gruesomely impaled with a drill, and the real game won't be quite as pretty, I'm actually kind of excited for this! It's a neat time period, there's a lot of potential for fun art design, it doesn't seem to be doing much "steampunk" aside from the big cyborg guys, and I appreciate the saturated color scheme, daylight and weird feel to the whole thing.

Sorry, a few minutes more of research turned up an actual video:

Aw, thanks man :)

This is one of my favorite IDM albums, too... the guys in Autechre apparently credit Darrel Fitton with teaching them to write actual melodies. Great stuff.

Sadly, the one album was the high point of everyone involved's career- Chelonis seems content being a generic house diva and Booka Shade haven't had a coherent or satisfying album in ages.

No idea what the animation here is from- the Youtube submitter says it's Russian, but has nothing to say beyond that.

Hooray, mine is on-topic and kinda cool! Take that, all you "creative" people with your "original" usernames that you did not "steal" from a "famous dead guy"! QUOTATION MARKS
Twin Peaks: Albert's arrival

Viewership plummeted during the second season, though, and it was kind of a tonal clusterfuck. That said, Lynch's season 2 episodes (specifically Maddy's death and the jaw-dropping season finale) have some of the best work he's ever done in any medium.
