Test footage for the feature-length Hobo With A Shotgun movie

I seen shit you people wouldn't believe. Trash cans on fire off the okay I've kind of run out of steam here except maybe something about crack pipes glittering in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate you can fill in the rest yourself
Hello, It's Me

He is wearing the seventies.
The Jesus Rant

He could've played guitar better than Hendrix.
He could've told the future.
He could've baked the most delicious cake in the world.
He could've scored more goals than Wayne Gretzky.
He could've danced better than Barishnikov.
Jesus could have been funnier than any comedian you can think of.
Jesus was way cool.

For some reason almost every review I've seen of this album- even the really positive ones- shits all over this track. I think it's one of the highlights. Go figure.
Ninja Power Force: 7/11 Sneak Attack.

And the ninja on his headband? HAS ANOTHER NINJA ON HIS HEADBAND. Ninjers all the way down, man.
This is Alabama. We speak English.

God, this makes me homesick.

Wait, no. Forget the "home" part.

it is always time for Cajmere. Green Velvet even more so.

Seriously, this album is fucking amazing. Just noticed this is today's featured Pitchfork review, and they somehow manage not to mention this song (or my other favorite moment of the album, when the melody from "Kaila" resurfaces in "Lalibela").

Listen to the whole thing here:

Five stars for the preload image alone.

Along with "To Binge," one of my favorites from the new album. I never would have guessed Albarn had production chops like this.

This is the internet. You're allowed to admit you know what a Fleshlight is.
Just Cause 2 - Gas Canister Kills
04/17/10, 16:13

Not true! The best thing you can do to a gas canister is grapple yourself to it, shoot it and ride that fucker straight up as high as you can without it exploding.

This is still pretty fun though.

You are totally wrong about all things.

But you might like I Care Because You Do, which has his most conventionally "pretty" music aside from the prepared piano stuff on Drukqs, as well as the single most ear-bleedingly abrasive thing he's ever released*, "Ventolin."

*not the most abrasive thing he's ever DONE, mind you, I've heard of live gigs where he's done things like drop microphones in blenders and run a stylus across a disc of sandpaper.
Bronson: The Electrician
02/28/10, 17:01

You're missing out- even if you don't like the ultra-dark, abrasive stuff (Tilt, Pola X, The Drift), Scott's four tracks from Nite Flights (and Climate of Hunter) are essential.

I have yet to see this movie, and some people whose opinion I respect have been unimpressed, but this is a pretty strikingly shot sequence and uses my favorite Walker song, so: submitted for your approval.
Bullet Proof

A great cover of this just came out on DFA, produced by Ray Mang (of Mangled, Bear Funk, Eskimo, etc) with vocals by Lady Miss Kier from Deee-Lite:
