Somehow I had never heard of this guy until today, despite being a huge fan of his contemporaries and similar artists (like Thomas Leer or XTC's Dukes of Stratosphear project, which was apparently directly inspired by Nicely) and contemporary musicians who cite him as a favorite or influence (like Ariel Pink and John Maus).
