It is completely fucking insane that A) this dude was put on TWENTY YEARS of probation B) that completely barred him from owning alcohol or a computer FOR LIFE, resulting in C) him serving a five year prison term for making weird YouTube videos.
How does any of this constructively prevent re-offending? How does it promote reintegration with society? Yeah, this dude is pretty far from a model citizen, but I amazed that the story always seems to be "look at this creepy old Cryptkeeper" and not "what in god's name is up with our criminal justice system?".
Is he a kid toucher? I'm not saying he isn't, but then I'm not even sure what he did in the first place. I was told he'd been put on probation for fucking around with an older teenage boy (old enough to be in that is-it-pedophilia-or-just-bad-taste gray area), but I have no idea exactly how old the kid was, whether it was mutually consensual, or what.
