I can't respond in a way that isn't a call to violence. I don't know how anymore.

"This isn't going to turn out well."
Looks like it turned out perfectly, according to Conservative standards. A buncha hippies got the beat-down, amirite?

Too bad they couldn't have waited a month for November 11. Because that would have been amazing.

Dammit, Steve Jobs! Why'd you have to die... you were supposed to stop 1984!

Google Bonus March and General Smedley Butler for how this has turned out in the past...

Police versus soldiers! A *real* anti-"big gubbmint" libertarian would be rooting for both sides of the authoritarian oppression apparatus to eliminate each other...

I'm split. I love veterans, but hate protesters. Its not like the cops didn't give them warning to clear out. I hate this protester tactic of deliberately disobeying law enforcement and then crying when you get arrested.
U TROLLIN': BAD
Jet Bin Fever
I hate this police tactic of suddenly deciding something is illegal when it should be protected by the U.S. Constitution.
I'm trollin' cause nobody could ever think these protests are stupid. Every really thinks these protests are awesome and the police are evil even Bill O'reilly thinks that.
How can you call yourself a libertarian and hate protestors? How fucking stupid are you, man? You keep pushing yourself to new levels of stupid. I continue to be amazed.
Baleen, I believe in their right to protest. I would hate for that right to be taken away. You hate tea parties right? But you don't hate the right to tea pary, just as I don't like OWS, but don't hate their rights either.
Spikes, I've heard that before...
So basically you admit that the Tea Party was a completely illegitimate sham funded by criminals. That's cool.
How did I say that? You're just putting words in my mouth now.

"Nobody" cares if its veterans from 91 and before, which it seems these vets were old enough to count as.
This might be different if it were recent Iraq and Afghan vets. (Maybe it was, but it didn't seem so from the video, at least).

I saw arrests. I didn't see beatdowns. Am I not looking in the right spot?
Thank you for a little bit of sanity in an otherwise crazy forum.
Yeah, that old dude was arrested so hard he fell over.
What a pussy.
You are right chumbucket. I don't know why exactly the police arrested them, but they could have done it with more respect.

Arresting high profile protesters is pretty dumb on the cops part. All they need now is to raise some bail money, post a few interviews on YouTube and let them float around on the Internet.
Don't get me wrong, I am sympathetic to the protesters. I participated at the Portland rally, which is still going on. I just didn't see the actual 'beatdown'. A beatdown is three men wailing on one man with batons and boots. A beatdown is being sprayed with firehoses and attacked by German Shepards while marching peacefully. Resisting arrest usually gets you thrown to the ground, you know.
Have the slightest sense of history and perspective.
