I've have never wanted a shotgun more in my life, especially with explosive rounds!

Holy shit! The second person he killed was Mike Abbott, who is by far the most hilarious terrible actor ever.
I guess I should finally watch the A Better Tomorrow movies, if that's where that's from.

Riskbreaker - 2011-10-17 These scenes are from:
A Better Tomorrow
A Better Tomorrow II
Bulllet in the Head
The Killer
Hard Boiled
|
Riskbreaker - 2011-10-17 And yes, the shootout in the apartments is from ABTII
|
StanleyPain - 2011-10-17 The first ABT is mostly lots of Hong Kong cinema-style morose weeping and tracking shots of people looking sad. It's very John Woo, but not the ass-kicking John Woo.
ABT2 on the other hand is batshit insane as all fucking get out and comes up with a ridiculously stupid excuse to get Chow Yun Fat back as a star.
Bullet in the Head is great..it's a Hong Kong version of The Deer Hunter basically.
Killer and Hard Boiled are pretty much the peak of John Woo's Hong Kong work, I think.
But if you like those films, I suggest tracking down some of Ringo Lam's stuff, which is very John Woo-esque. (Full Contact with Chow Yun Fat is on Netflix streaming right now)

Hooker - 2011-10-17 Yeah, I've seen (and love) Hard-Boiled, The Killer, and Lam's City on Fire. I got half way through the first A Better Tomorrow, but it didn't really grab me.

hammsangwich - 2011-10-17 Another good Chow Yun Fat gun fight posing as a movie is Flaming Brothers. Lots of shotgun to the face action.

jyrque - 2011-10-17
The origin of video game shotgun. Which is not as lethal but pellet spray is similar.

pineapplejuicer - 2011-10-17
didn't watch the video, not gonna, fiving the term "wooniverse"
|
zerobackup - 2011-10-18
In these films, the shotguns actually shoot tiny clusters of rockets.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-02-11
As balls-out awesome as this is, minus one star for going with "the Nutcracker", instead of The 1812 Overture.
Fuckin hipsters, always have to be ironic!
