This looks so gimmicky, there's no way it's not a generic button masher.

The early hands-on I was reading said combat actually has a strong element of crowd control to it, in that you have to use your smaller attacks to corral zombies into groups so as to most effectively dispatch them with your big attacks, otherwise you can get overwhelmed. How much of that survives to final cut remains to be seen, but I like the idea.

Udderdude
Throw in a couple of zombies with specials and it'll almost be like left4dead, only single player. Meh.

Riskbreaker
yawn* more zombies.

They may wanna be Tarantino instead of George Lucas. But it's still cinema envy and it's still bullshit.
Chalkdust
This trailer doesn't mention but this is a collaboration between Suda 51 and James Gunn, the writer/director from Slither, Super, Tromeo and Juliet, and the Dawn of the Dead remake. Take that as you will.

Riskbreaker
In many ways Suda is the Tarantino of video games, he mixes some pop culture references here and there and people go crazy for some reason.

Sex + blood is all well and good in a game, but menstruate on a guy's crotch ONE TIME....geez.
