You would think after all these years, Bethesda would figure out that the vast majority of the people who play the Elder Scrolls games don't really want to be generic fantasy hero types and "save the day." They'd much rather assassinate sleeping grandmothers and rain flaming dogs down on small towns.

That said, it's unfortunate that they broke their "you can do whatever you want" tradition with Skyrim and made so that you have to perform a good chunk of the main storyline in order to use the dragon words.
