You know what, on second thought, no. I'm not wrong. I like this song though. If Morrissey's whole career is an endless series of attempts to perfectly capture a painfully self conscious gay loner hipster, this song is the one where he nailed it.

Maybe it's lame to think so, but I wish that the Smiths had put out more than two songs with this aesthetic (and that's if you count "Shoplifters of the World Unite"). Less yodeling, more feedback.

I guess Suede's the closest thing to a version of the Smiths that focused on this sound.
