Jesus... Thirty seconds in and I'm not watching any more of that.
John Holmes Motherfucker - 2011-11-26
I made 34 seconds. It's THIRTEEN MINUTES LONG?

I don't know anything about this. Would someone like to post a link to some good information? I'll google if I have to, just thought I'd ask.

augias - 2011-11-26
one second and i closed the tab.
urbanelf - 2011-11-26
Some warning that we're about to see exploded heads would be nice.
Pillager - 2011-11-26
Yeah, that kid's head looked like a busted up pumpkin.

baleen - 2011-11-26

Pillager - 2011-11-26
'Corpse' gives the impression of an inert cadaver.

'Horrifically mutilated war victims' better describes this video.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
I wish I could erase that from my memory.

cool water sandwich - 2011-11-27
I'm not watching any exploded kids today, thanks. It would make unmanly things happen.

Adham Nu'man - 2011-11-26
Jet Bin Fever - 2011-11-26
This video really gets to the point quickly... doesn't it.
Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
I know you guys hate when I say, "Our evil is less evil by comparison", but can we please be a little less dramatic about the pepper spray and the few hours of custody American protesters face?
Jet Bin Fever - 2011-11-26
Just because people's heads aren't exploding doesn't mean we shouldn't hold ourselves as a country to a much higher standard. Bahrain probably doesn't go around saying they're the freest country, a beacon of liberty and all that and then treat people expressing their constitutional right to peaceful protest as criminals.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
We are at a higher standard. Our protesters are the most free in the whole world, but that doesn't mean there aren't any limitations. When the protesters are breaking a law they are warned a million times to stop, then the police have to arrest them, if the protesters resist arrest then nonlethal force is used. Then suddenly our cops are thought of as the worstest, meanyest, Naziest, Kim Jong Ils on the planet.

Spastic Avenger - 2011-11-26
Please dont troll on a video full of dead people.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
The video is called Occupy Bahrain so there is an obvious comparison to the Occupy movement. Don't hate on me for bringing it up. Just because there are dead people in the video doesn't mean relevant issues shouldn't be discussed.

baleen - 2011-11-26
I think almost everyone involved with OWS is well aware of the differences, thanks.

I get a little angry at the over-arching "revolutionary" aspect of OWS itself, being a political pragmatist. However, when Bahrainis come onto American OWS sites and pledge their support and "brotherhood," it's easy to not only get a little teary-eyed, but to care much more about what they're going through.

If anything comes out of this OWS business, barring any real policy change and regulatory reform of our finance industry, revision of our tax system, and so on, at least Americans are being brought closer to the suffering of people in other countries that was not directly caused by us invading them. That's really important, that has a healing effect.

baleen - 2011-11-26
By the way, this video was posted to Occupy Bahrain by people from Bahrain. Westerners are not rewriting this or co-opting this struggle to romanticize their own, if that's what you're insinuating.

memedumpster - 2011-11-26
Cena, the cold hard fact is that there is more ammunition in the hands of civilians in this country than there are individual members of law enforcement and all branches of military. It wont happen here because the moment it gets to this level the power structure of America would be wiped out in a week. Americans must be bred in captivity, not broken by force. Not you, not Seal Team 6, not the fucking Super Koch Brothers could save this country from its population if it went down like this. Al Qaeda would be a cherished memory compared to the horror of dealing with an American insurgency. That's why anti-government types are treated like the devil here, because they are to those in power. It isn't that our own leaders don't want to do this to us, they just have a healthy sense of fear.

Watched it all.

pineapplejuicer - 2011-11-26
Five for american insurgency

B. Weed - 2011-11-26
Spastic: Cena's probably already jizzed on the video full of dead people. The trolling is during the refractory period.

simon666 - 2011-11-26
Not all Occupy protesters are aware of the differences--at least some of the videos I've seen seem to suggest this.

This video attempts to link oppression of the Occupy movements with Libya, Egypt, Tienanmen Square, et al..

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2011-11-26
"Not as bad" is still bad.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
Maguver style toilet, yes bad is bad, but there are varying degrees. Would you rather eat a Godfather's Pizza or human feces? Both are bad, but I guess its all the same to you?
Memedumpster, we have more than the 2nd amendment protecting us. They lack the arms in the UK, but they don't have to abuse their citizens to maintain control. Western democracies are just plain better than mid eastern dictatorships and monarchies.

memedumpster - 2011-11-26
Wait, did you just have to reference the UK to try and explain why things aren't as bad in America?

I'll leave you to think about that for a while.

baleen - 2011-11-26

Cena Mark: Not exactly Voltaire.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-27
You said the American Gun owner kept our government in check. I used the UK as an example of a free country where the citizens hardly own any guns.

The Mothership - 2011-11-26
not watchin, not watchin any more past the first three seconds.

Remember to make fun of Bush for calling it The Axis of Evil.
Spastic Avenger - 2011-11-26
I don't remember Bush liberating Bahrain or Saudi Arabia or any other country that had an elite just as bad as Iraq. In fact I kind of remember them doing a whole lot of back-rubbing.

Cena_mark - 2011-11-26
The Axis of Evil was Iran, Iraq, and N. Korea. Pretty much an evil despot should only be challenged if they oppose U.S. interests.

StanleyPain - 2011-11-26
And yet, Bush was the one kissing King Abdullah full on the lips.

baleen - 2011-11-26
We have no idea what's going on in Saudi Arabia because we are unwilling to dispatch CIA there. That's how close we are.

memedumpster - 2011-11-26
Yet we sell them F-16s while everyone else is kicking out their dictators.

Dr Dim - 2011-11-26
No, I would make fun of Bush for referring to the regime as "defenders of freedom".

wackyakmed - 2011-11-26
Bahrain hosts the U.S. fifth fleet... That's why our Obama sat silent while Saudi Arabia sent in tanks to help the ruling government do this.

mouser - 2011-11-26
We became orgish again?
baleen - 2011-11-26
depends how fucked up things are on any given sunday.

FABIO - 2011-11-26
Oh for fuck's sake.

Do you pussies say the same thing at holocaust museums?

Adham Nu'man - 2011-11-26
Mouser, honestly, I couldn't watch this beyond a couple of seconds. I've personally seen corpses in similar conditions but in the context of helping pull them out of car wrecks, and the act of "doing" something somehow made me insensitive to the gore. Here, being simply presented with them as a voyeur, I find it immensely more horrifying.

However, there is no way I'm not going to 5 star this or share it. This was posted by the people of Bahrain so that others could see. If people can't handle it, fine, that's their choice, but it's here and it's real and maybe it means something.

Burnov - 2011-11-26
You're not allowed to be a pussy and oppose the government in Bahrain.
Mother_Puncher - 2011-11-26
The whole thing. Fucking disgusting and not because of the gore.

Reminds me of the Iraq photos soldiers traded for porn on thatsfuckedup.com.

Actually most of this stuff is mild by comparison
Anaxagoras - 2011-11-26
I couldn't watch more than 45 seconds. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Jeriko-1 - 2011-11-26
Needs some country music.
dairyqueenlatifah - 2011-11-27

Jeriko-1 - 2011-11-27
Jesus Christ, I was making a reference to another video support deleted.

Somehow you missed the reference and assumed I was some redneck with a dead brown person boner?!

Anaxagoras - 2011-11-27
I think he was riffing on the same joke he thought you were making: that Conservatives would take a horrible event like this & exploit it for political gain. Hell.. that's the joke *I* thought you were originally making.

It's a good joke, by the way. It's exactly what they've been doing to 9/11, almost since it first happened.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2011-11-27
That guy's head is the worst thing I've ever seen on the internet, In your face, Budd Dwyer suicide footage!
Void 71 - 2011-11-27
Color me a pussy because there's no way I'm watching this video or going to a holocaust museum.
LetsFistAgain - 2011-11-27
Did i just see a man with a hole where his brain used to be?
badideasinaction - 2011-11-27
Yeah, that's 5 for absolute evil. I really don't want to ever see this one topped.
