We have 4 cats, and we have 2 litter boxes, one for our maine coon, and one for the rest of them.

My maine coon is a monster of a cat (nicknamed fatty), but also the most timid. She frequently gets bullied by our longhair calico, who is the tiniest cat on the block. I have no idea how territory and dominance works amongst housecats who are forbidden from fighting.

While I've never had a Maine Coon, in my house, the trend seemed to be that the newest kitty became the dominant one. At one point, I had two large boy tabby cats, and later we brought in a new girl tabby. She was half their size but ended up bullying even the bully of the two.

Don't know if that's the case for anyone else, though.

Can I has big cat?

If I recall, a Maine Coon made it in the Guinness World Records for longest kitty. They can get pretty big.

They never shut the fuck up. Also, my grandma's maine coon literally went insane after she died. He just walked around crying for a week straight before we had to put him down.

Man, that's really depressing :( I did not know cats developed that kind of attachment though - at least not that strongly.
