The unicycle level was literally impossible (I tried it with save states and still couldn't do it) until you discovered the trick of pausing it at every corner.

This game was the funnest first 2 levels followed by the most sadistic bullshit in any game.

Ah Battletoads, the game that ended countless friendships.

This game was so freaking hard that it is actually impossible to beat it with a friend. And those few that actually managed to somehow complete were considered either freaks or some kind of god of video games.

I tried finding The Tick for SNES, but I guess nobody else was masochistic enough to finish it in this day and age. It wasn't hard, just a turd of a game that we finished as a group just for the "fuck it, we have to see how they end this" factor.

Spoiler: after you beat the final boss all it does is show the same game over screen as when you die iirc.

Don't know about SNES, but I saw the ending for Sega Genesis, and it is just as shitty. Just displays a "The End" screen before rolling the credits.

This and Arcade's Revenge for the SNES were the two games I tried and tried but could never beat. I looked it up on youtube and AR's ending was almost as disappointing.

He spent 7 hours on one level in Quest of Ki, and 24 hours live beating Lemmings on taxing; he can spend 20 hours on the bike level.

This and Contra (hopper) I don't think are that anti-climactic. They had limited space and still gave you the bad guy retreating, credits and music. Contra even had the island blowing up as your helicopter retreats.

Now paperboy...that's bullshit AND it ends on a bonus level, so you're confused when you lose and still win.

An ending maybe three people saw. The reason the game development studio didn't get burned down is because it's fairly simple to take down three overweight nerds.
