I learned to stop playing videogames right when I'm pretty sure they are about to end because of endings like this.
So, strategy guide for beating this fucker: Slap on haste and move back and forth while it's too slow/stupid to attack you. Yay.
I remember this one well. Luckily the developers made up for it for with the sequel.

This may not be much of an ending, but I remember the opening on the Amiga being really bad ass back in the day!
That's actually epic for an rpg ending back then. The Goldbox games were even more of a slog with even weaker endings. Helps put into context just how mindblowing the story presentation of the early final fantasy games were back then at the time.
