I love Ken Russell. I think a few of movies were kinds duds, but overall, he was one of the more entertaining filmmakers out there, and a few of his movies are easily on my all time favorites list (two of them being Altered States and Lair of the White Worm)

Hammer Falls
They were always interesting (aside from the comically titled "Ken Russell's Whore". If anything, he was Terry Gilliam with a understanding of the restraints of a budget.
