It's classic conservative projection in addition to being un-funny. Conservatives went bananas with the whole rending of clothes and gnashing of teeth when McCain lost, claiming that God would punish America, etc.
One of their ongoing jokes seems to be that God is truly in charge of who gets to be president... except they don't seem to say that when it's not a GOP religious nutjob running the show.

The reason why "conservative humor" never works is because it's always based on false equivalency and making fun of people who are typically off limits in humor.
So..it works for other conservatives, but not for anyone without a kool aid brain.

SteamPoweredKleenex I wouldn't say anyone is "off limits." The problem conservatives have is that they don't understand the power dynamic between conservatives (generally representing the rich and powerful) and those they want to make fun of (everyone else, which includes most minorities, working people, and the poor).
They don't get that a king trying to tell jokes about how crappy the peasants are isn't funny to most people; it's instead called "being a bully."
