I am proud to say that when that movie came out, I was the only one of my friends who thought it was utter crap.

I thought they'd have her in a red dress and white gloves, which is the more memorable outfit from that movie, but no, they had to put her in whore clothes.

She's wrong. Pretty much everything about these pageants and the mothers who force their kids into then is the reason they get a bad rap. This is just a rare moment where these people feel a line has been crossed and are forced to look at an aspect of their community with a similar disgust that people on the outside look at this horrible shit.

This is the sort of thing you would do if you were trying to make fun of the pageant and its attendees.

The woman interviewed slipped up and said, "What we're doing TO our little girls." I can imagine doing WITH. But she'll never understand the error of her ways.

It's far less sexualized than some of the other ones. Sure, it's shitty, but at least it looks like a costume. The complainer tarter her daughter up in a more "plausible" way that I find harder to stomach.
