Judge doesn't even give a damn. She just gives the person to her right a "the shit I put up with" expression, and keeps right on doing her thing.

Wow, she's a pro. Didn't even flinch and didn't take it all personal and pile on contempt charges or something like that (though I can't say I would have faulted her if she had). She's just like "you do realize everything you're saying is going to come up in every single one of your future court appearances, yes?"

Maybe he just really didn't think he was ready to re-enter society but he was afraid they would release him. Maybe he wanted to stay in prison.

I used to talk to this illegal outside of my workplace who admitted to me that sometimes he would get arrested just so he could spend time in jail and get free health care instead of living on the streets.

Eventually he got a green card, but the day he came by and showed it to me seemed like it could have been the saddest day of his life.
