as i was watching this i heard katt williams' voice in my head saying "i love america, we some goddamn bullies"
Oh look, American diplomacy!

Nothing new though, to anyone who has lived in the West, so just the three.
Has there been a moment when the USA was not involved in some war?
Good fucking god.
Dread Pirate Roberts
That was pretty much my reaction at around two minutes in and the train was still disappearing over the horizon.

It's like a Ralph Bakshi film on steroids.

Oh horrors! We have a military! Really, it would be best to dismantle it entirely- I'm sure the Chinese and the Russians are eager to do the same.
Rodents of Unusual Size
Or we could just do what the Chinese and Russians do and keep our military the fuck inside our country.

Oscar Wildcat
@OP: Which is ironically, exactly what is going on here. The Soviets are long gone, OP. The Chinese are too busy defeating us economically to ever both much with the tanks and whatnot. Who knew the communists would prove to be far better capitalists than we ever where.

I love it when the Cold War 2 card is pulled.

The chinese are too busy building houses nobody lives in, and shopping malls nobody visits.

Haha check out this youtube comment:

"These are stocked piles of older Bradley from the cold war inventory. As you can see on the tank @ the 2:07 mark there is a sprayed on "DL" which is code for the DRMO depot for final disposition and destruction. It is a awesome sight to behold to see how much military hardware we as tax payers have bought and ultimately just destroy. Sad really."
Might be true. I don't know if they slapped on the Demil Code which is 'D' for demilitarize/destruction and the 'L' for the USMC's Military Service Identifier Code. 'D' could also be the Federal supply condition code used by the DLA/DRMO to signify that the Bradley is Serviceable and able to be repaired pending some tests.

On the other hand, I don't think the USMC ever used Bradleys. So the 'L' confuses me too.

We got ourselves a convoy...

Well, at least they are not filled with poop

Why not raffle them off?

I'm the leftiesy pussy whose heart's ever bled, but seriously, how do you think 20-ton tanks get where tbey want them? Have you ever seen one driving on the interstate?
Wasn't that the original purpose of the Interstate highway system when it was conceived? To provide a means for military equipment to travel freely from city to city if a nuclear war ever broke out?

Although I'd doubt the average Interstate freeway bridge could support a tank. Don't forget that bridge in Minnesota that collapsed because there were a few too many trucks on it.

Armored vehicles have always been transported long distances via rail instead of traveling under their own power. It saves on fuel, decreases maintenance issues, and does not tie up nearly as much personnel.

And saying that the 35W bridge collapsed due to "a few too many trucks on it" is like saying the cause of the American Civil War was slavery.

The Coast Guard desperately needs new cutters.
You should try and get in doing PATFORSWA for the 5th fleet. I bet they have nice cutters.

I think we only have 2 of the new National Security Cutters built. All are HECs and MECs are from the 60s and 70s. This is why you guys should love the Coast Guard. We make our ships last. The Navy is always getting new ships and inflating their budgets to do so.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious
That's because the Navy has important shit to do.

Now that I say that, I'm guessing a cutter might be too big for port security.
Take them.

Way better post than the "whiiiiiiine we neeeeeed muuurder because of Russia and Chiiiiina" vagiwinging above I was going to post on.

Hahaha, have some stars!

Umm...what am I supposed to be seeing here? I saw this regularly growing up, when there weren't any wars going on.

Maybe it's a So Cal thing?
Obviously the SHADOW GOVERNMENT has arranged for the placement of troops in order to enact MARTIAL LAW come November no matter who wins - TODAY it is TANKS, tomorrow the next military TRAIN might be carrying AMERICAN CITIZENS to FEMA-run REX 84 prison camp facilities overseen by Private Military Contractor Death Squads
Rodents of Unusual Size
You know I had never heard the FEMA concentration camp conspiracy theory until recently, when i had a huge argument with a mentally challenged individual on Youtube insisting we were in the middle of a Holocaust here in America.

I don't have words for how stupid some people are.

I had a co-worker back in '08 who would go on and on about it. He kept saying there would be no election in 2008; Bu$h and KKKarl Rove were going to orchestrate a major terrorist attack on an even grander scale than 9/11 and declare martial law, suspending the election indefinitely. Anyone who protested would be executed by death squads made up of Blackwater mercs or put into FEMA camps.

November 5 came and went:
"Just you wait. A huge catastrophic event will happen before Obama gets sworn in, and it'll be martial law!"

Obama gets sworn in:
"You didn't think that was a real election, do you? That's they want sheep like you to think. You see, both parties are controlled by blah blah blah"
