When this happened last year, I was in this tiny Thai town called Suphan Buri. The only English speaking guy I knew there worked at the school I'm was slinging English to and described at length how this was a result of HARP in Alaska and how this tsunami was a test run by an international cabal that included that Japanese government as tests of the hardware controlling the weather. I asked him a very basic question. "If the Japanese government, a financial powerhouse for the very people you describe, was part of the conspiracy to do this as a 'test run', why would they choose their own financial infrastructure to test their weather control device instead of the many other poor coastal areas that wouldn't effect their financial income?"

He told me that I was a loser with the most closed mind he'd ever seen and thus what I do in life was is lose, and walked out of the restaurant we were having lunch in.

Not really relevant to the clip, but I thought you guys would appreciate the story.

You thought right.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-01-31
I'm not watching this video, but I do appreciate the story.

If it's any worthy addition to it, he was also slinging Venus Society stuff, which has something to do with the Zeitgeist movie and apparently there is a religion of something behind this movie about AI controlling mankind or something. Meeting that guy made me appreciate just how normal a totally nuts guy can act in public, since this was a guy I actually got along with for a while before all this HARP shit came out.

I got called a closed minded idiot as well, for telling an eco-freak that the beer he was drinking had GM grains and yeast. Knowing facts and not being easily persuaded = closed minded loser.

Ursa_minor - 2012-01-31
I was told, then de-friended on facebook for calling out a woman who told me that it was a seismic scalar weapons hit by US terrorists against Japan because they were making eco-friendly cars. I asked her if maybe it had something to do with japan being on the Ring of Fire, and she told me "definitely not this time, plus we're not even sure that's a real thing anyway".

Screwtape - 2012-01-31
Phft, if this guy had a proper, self-reinforcing delusion he could have easily said "culpable deniability" and owned you. Amateur.

The Mothership - 2012-01-31
like it wasn't even there.
fedex - 2012-02-01
interesting to note the inevitable second (third?) wave coming in at around 7:45 to finish the job

augias - 2012-01-31
I don't think i've ever seen such a complete shot of a tsunami wave. And I remember seeing on TV as a kid how some commentator on discovery said there were no full recordings of tsunamis for whatever reason. Nice to be existing at this point in history.
Gmork - 2012-01-31
Because once it starts in, you drop the camera and flee.

fedex - 2012-01-31
some others you may (not) want to see

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-01-31
I think I would just be screaming my brains out through the whole thing.
chumbucket - 2012-01-31
The guy's narration, despite me having no clue what he was saying was more than appropriate.
fedex - 2012-01-31
they are up there because they already got the warning, he is saying something about the time they heard the tsunami was coming.

chilling, but they more than any other country are prepared for this shit

fedex - 2012-01-31
oops, first link is dead, try this instead:

At the beginning of the video, I said, "That's all gone."
I was right.
Old People - 2012-01-31
Honestly, that was so much less exciting than I thought it was going to be.
SolRo - 2012-01-31
Hey, not every natural disaster with a massive death toll is an exciting rollercoaster of joy.

Also; die.

garcet71283 - 2012-01-31
I will second the disappointment. As a Washingtonian, I expect my disasters to be either non-existent (snow, wind) or explosive (volcano)

Ursa_minor - 2012-01-31
I do like how the opening frame appears to be a disorganized game of hobo baseball. That's the only nice thing about this.

Monkey Napoleon - 2012-01-31
I dunno... this video left me with a new appreciation for concrete. That thing is the little Japanese seawall that could.

The ocean is kind of a jerk.

I had to stop watching when I saw cars still driving on the road next to the sea wall.

Holy fuck.
sosage - 2012-01-31
There is a lone vehicle that passes by just as the ocean begins to peak over the sea wall and spill over. That image will stick with me forever.
