There are times I think about how I have a computer that's so powerful that 20 years ago it would have been used to model the astral physics of colliding galaxies or predict the future climate of our entire planet. What do I do with that computer? Watch stupid videos and post 140 character messages about what I'm going to have for dinner. But I don't feel as bad now. There are people who take high speed cameras once used to analyze biomechanics, supersonic motion and prototype nuclear weapons and use them to record a girl's butt to being snapped with a towel. What would we do without the scientist and engineers who devoted the best years of their lives to advancing the technology we put to retarded uses?
